I wonder what microsoft has planned to steal the show this year? To be honest when they announced FFXIII wouldn't be exclusive, that DID steal the show last year, even though it's still so far away.
Possibly Gears of War 3? There are some rumors out there.
You can bet on a Gears3 announcement... Maybe even something Halo related. I'd expect Forza 3 and maybe some new "innovation" crap to try to win the Wii crowd.
Id love some news on a new Halo. Mass Effect as well, though isnt 2 gonna be cross platform?
Its microsoft exclusive 'for a time'. It'll come to ps3 probably a month or two after the 360 version.
Don't care because Blizzard will not be there to show of Diablo 3
c'mon kotor 3. do it do it do it do it
Doubtful with them working hard on a KOTOR MMORPG.
don't remind me haha
I dont think we will hear anything about a new Halo, but I bet we get some kind of new game from bungie.
Used to go to E3 every year in high school. Not so much these days. Sure hope big announcements can bring it back to its glory days.
I'm for sure interested in the redesigned PSP.
I would agree that Bungie will probably release something, and I also think that Microsoft will mention something about the new Halo expansion ODST that comes out this year.
Very interested to see what Microsoft does..... I mean they always hype this stuff to an unbelievable level and you never know how much to trust it but given the way its worded they have to be either talking about a hardware change/new console/something or adding a new feature to the 360 that would make it much more of an entertainment center.
Given that you can already watch DVD's on it and stream stuff from Netflix I wonder what that would be?
Ability to brows the Net maybe? But the wii already does that (does the ps3 as well?) so I'm not sure how that would "revolutionarize" anything. If it is indeed a network that allows a paid TV service over the 360, now that would be VERY exiting.
I am honestly still kinda surprised that Internet based TV hasn't taken off yet, its possibe with decent quality even from less then fully legal avenues that probably aren't well funded. One would think if a large company did it that it could be made very workable, at least for none HD stuff, which would be a start.
I would think its could also be cheaper as well since whoever did it would have no hardware cost to speak of. No cable lines to maintain and no satellites to put in orbit like a dish company. Seriously, why hasn't this went mainstream?
Yes, the PS3 has a web browser but to be honest it sucks. I THINK it is Linux based. It's almost impossible to watch streaming video from anyone that is not YouTube because PS3 has no codec support.
What I want from PS3 is a PVR/DVR attachment. There has been rumours about it for a long time but I have not heard anything in awhile. If I could record TV programs on my PS3 in high quality that would make me a very happy human being.
Isn't that because the television coding or something like that here is different (I think because Europe uses closed circuit television that is why they can use it)?
Please tell me they're adding car damage...
I always enjoyed being able to do super cornering by ramming other vehicles.
Supposedly, this is a leaked list of Microsoft's big E3 announcements:
about time Alan Wake
MGS4 would be huge and would probably lead me to hang myself as the last reason I chose a PS3 over a 360 would come to pass. If its true...thanks Sony for leading me to believe there would only be one place I could find my favorite game series on but I should have known better. Maybe I won't regret it and this is a rumor.
You got to play it how long before on PS3, even if it came out later for 360? And if that was the only reason you chose a ps3 over a 360, you should have just got a 360 and waited for a ps3 to drop in price (like I did with the original xbox).
If that list is true though, count me psyched for:
Assassin's Creed 2
Lost Planet 2
We'll see about MGS4. I'm skeptical about it.
Notice I said "last" reason, not only.
Actually the included wireless internet, free online gaming, and dreaded red ring of death swayed me (the pay for online pay would make the 360 more expensive in the long run and the red ring of death sent me screaming away as well). However, since that decision in late 2007 I have seen the DLC to GTA go to the 360, the 360 get great games, PS3 exclusives disappoint, and although I still love free online I am starting to think paying $50 a year for Live isn't that bad. Don't get me wrong I still love my PS3 and think that having it two years with no repairs is great but still if I could get in a time machine I would pick the 360 (however had I chosen the 360 I may be sitting here now 2-3 RRODs in thinking I should have picked the PS3). Either way I still thinking overall the PS3 is a better value and has enough games to keep any gamer happy but I still have the feeling of even better games waiting for me on the 360. However if I really wanted a 360 I would have gotten it by now but the fact of buying games for two systems throws me off, so at least keeping the one exclusive I really bought a PS3 for would make me feel better.
I swear... If MGS4 is for real... and it fits on a single DVD-R DL, I'm never gonna believe a word Sony says again.
* Xbox Fluid - the new 360 motion-sensing camera
Eh, no big deal.
* Splinter Cell: Conviction
* Halo ODST
I should probably buy Halo 3 at some point...
* Alan Wake
Awesome. Can't wait to see this. Probably the game I'm looking forward to most.
Could be interesting. Don't know much about it.
* GTA4: BAAFLC
I have no idea what this is.
* Assassin's Creed 2
Never played #1. Everyone said it got boring and repetitive.
* Lost Planet 2
never played #1. Was it good?
* Metal Gear Solid 4 + Oxide
Already played MGS4, but I'm interested in seeing what this is about.
Assassin's Creed did get repetitive, but I was never bored with it.
Lost Planet was good. There was plenty about it that made it essentially the perfect average game. lol. I mean it was easy to pick up but didn't get boring if you played a long time (to me), fun to play, had a really good multi-player and replay IMO. It probably only deserved like a 7.5/10, but I don't think that should stop there from being a sequel or anything.
I have yet to play a game that did not get repetitive.
In fact most games that try to do everything well to not get repetative generally are mediocre.
I feel the RTTS mode in MLB: 09 gets very repetitive, but I am in no way bored with it. I think it's great.
Ehh, probably wouldn't get MGS4 on 360 but if it has the return of demo theater, I might.
That box would almost be worth getting over the PS3 version just for the cover art.
They actually had an MGS2 for the X-Box. Doubtless that's driving the rumors some.
Sweet, Playstation Eye 3-D for Xbox 360.
A potential E3 bomb for Sony:
Still a rumor, but seems logical.
I actually posted that a while back the GTAIV sales were roughly 50-50 between the PS3 and the 360. Additionally all reports is that GTA: Lost and Damned sold much less than hoped on the 360 because of the relatively close sales figures on both systems. If anything a port would make sense and I would buy it (it would make a MGS4 port look slightly better but I don't see either happening).
New rumors that Sony might announce they're new Slim PS3 at E3
Some people on the Game Trailers forums say you can see Snake in the clouds if you tilt your head sideways. Others were saying you can see an Xbox360 controller in the clouds I cant see ****. Here's hoping MS will confirm the rumor so its dead already.
It does appear you can see someone in the clouds with a mustache that looks like Snake but who's to say it isn't a spinoff game?
Also the date says 5.18.2009 I thought E3 was in June? Still not quite buying this rumor...yet.
