Thanks, my concern was that he wouldn't be there at 224, so we had to make a move to get him. Surprised he lasted into the 7th, honestly.
added my writeup on Marshall if anyone should care to peruse... http://www.thephins.com/forums/show...Draft-Thread&p=2577956&viewfull=1#post2577956
Figured dual LB'ers were necessary. I think Washington probably could have slipped until UDFA, but I didn't want to risk Bell. He's overcome a lot, I think he's worth a 7th.
TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports that "quite possibly no defensive back is moving up draft boards faster than" Utah DB Eric Rowe. "There’s a feeling Rowe will end up in the second half of round one and won’t get past the 40th pick," Pauline wrote. "The teams I’m hearing highest on Rowe in round one include the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have doubled up on Rowe, that is worked him out and will bring him in for an official visit, as have the Detroit Lions, who believe Rowe can start at either safety or cornerback." Pauline says that a few teams, realizing that Rowe's stock is surging, are now in a predicament: "Teams who like Rowe but select late in the rounds face a dilemma as most realize if they don’t draft him with their initial selection he won’t be on the board when they’re called on the clock in round two. Teams love Rowe’s size, athleticism and versatility but also feel he’s a smart, coachable player. The New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Bucs and Oakland Raiders are also bringing Rowe in for a visit. The Atlanta Falcons are working him out in a few weeks. That's from rotoworld. I took him at 72. Let's see what happens
oops forgot about Carolina, for some reason I thought they had forfeit the rest of their picks... Philly skipped.. Seattle?
We almost took him. But Chip is done with QBs who look "goofy," as he put it. I mean, this guy doesn't really strike fear into the hearts of men.
heh... a face that only his mom would love. We couldn't draft a quarterback that was better looking than Aaron. Wouldn't have gone over well. he's cuter here though... .... ginger!!
Glow would have been my pick if I didn't pick up Fernando and Samson off cuts yesterday. Literally changed my mind 5 minutes before I drafted.
I'll be sending out an updated calendar of events to people via PM over the weekend. Looks like the draft should finish up without many hiccups.
Britt McHenry needs to work at the same burger joint as the Connor Halliday look-a-like cleaning bathrooms...
Damn you Paul. I was sooo close to taking Sokoli at 219. I probably could've gotten Terrell Watson as a UDFA but I didn't wanna take the chance. That's 2 of my priority FA's snagged in the past handful of picks. The other being Quayshawne Buckley.
I've been busy this afternoon guys... the IRS keeps calling me. Unfortunately, I keep missing their call. But their message says they are sending over a collections officer to "settle the paperworks." I've been getting prepared for his or her visit... Sharpening my knives so I can stab them right in the eye ball. Think they'll ever show up?
