Truth is, paul should have just traded me something for Josh Cribbs if that's the player he really wanted. :shifty:

I'm not sure McCluster is a WR. It will take time. Maybe he can be like Devon Hester. He can be the triggerman in the Wildcat, and put Ronnie in motion.

McCluster is rated as a second round talent by most boards i've seen, to still get him at 70, i'm happy about that.

I know Tony Sparano likes McCluster. He seemed pretty happy to talk about him at the SR bowl.

Was hoping to be able to move up and get one of the good remaining safeties. Thank you Buckeye for allowing me to get the one I feel is the best there.

Ironically I hired Mike Nolan as my DC here... who did I draft last year? Robert Ayers. Who did I draft this year? Derrick Morgan. Pretty similar players, IMO.

I like the Edds pick, BTW. He'd be very good in Arizona, IMO. :hi5:

Basically. I feel I can get them in round 4.

Plus doesn't hurt to have more picks.

Edds would also look DAMN nice setting the Sam Edge in Miami next year.

I like the McCluster pick Paul. I was seriously considering him at 79 and using him as my Darren Sproles.

I think he's a decent fit in the WC, although I would be worried about other teams blowing him up with the blitz.

I don't see him as an OLB in a 3-4. He's an ILB IMO.

I agree... I think he'd be a better fit as an ILB in a 3-4 defense. He could do what our inside linebackers (except Dansby) can't do.... cover tight ends.

Great pick Silver. Price is one of my favorite players in the draft and could very likely be a 2nd rounder.

He's a cover linebacker, not a pass rusher IMO. He's not a threat going downhill.

tend to agree. He is pretty decent taking in blocks and seems more comfortable in space rather then trying to get in the oppositions backfield. Reminds me too much of channing crowder....not a good thing.

I think he's a much better cover linebacker than Channing but I agree with him being decent taking on blockers.

IMO Edds is more disciplined in coverage and can man up. I've seen him cover slot receivers numerous times.

Once again, on all day and dips for his pick. Makin picks for other people and **** he's plotting something...

Curious about your thoughts on taking C Jones at 71 Alen? There was another safety I was debating going with, but I thought Jones had the higher upside.

I've still got tape to review on him but I like him as a strong safety. He's a big time hitter and he can make plays with the ball in the air. Not on a consistent basis IMO but he's got talent. He's very physical so it fits well in Pitt.

Btw, Jones was a cornerback at LSU before a safety. For those who like the conversion CB to S players, he's one of them and has been pretty successful. As we saw in the Club, Miami has taken a liking to those so should be interesting.

I agree completely that he is indeed a Cover and not a pass rusher, which is why I would slate him as SAM in the 3-4. He can indeed run AND cover any TE in the league (Maybe not Dallas Clark), but the games I watched him play this last year...which was about 5 games, he is indeed very very good at setting the edge and playing the Strong Side.... I am NOT the only one that thinks so:

To each their own. He may be a SAM on passing downs but I don't see a consistent role for him there. If he wants to play three downs, he needs to play inside IMO.
