This thread depresses me. I'm going to listen to some Zeppelin. 'Over the Tannehills and Far Away' is such a soothing song.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...en-uses-rifle-passing-arm-hunt-180146210.html Good Weeden video. I'm not on either side...don't know which I want, but I do want one of them. Imagine if we don't get Tannehill or Weeden?? An already apathetic fanbase might get even worse.
Tough crowd! Sorry fellas. If this thread still exist in a couple of years it will be an "I told you so" reminder because I really believe weeden is the better guy. I don't care about the value of the #8 pick. I care about having a franchise QB for atlesst the next 10 years. Sweden will still be really good in his late 30's while tannehill will either be a backup or won't even be in the NFL in 10 years. If weeden was younger he would go ahead of tannehill in this draft. His age is not a factor because his body isn't banged up. Baseball pitchers usually don't get banged up unless they do something careless while they're not playing baseball. Tannehill is a project QB, weeden is ready to start now. The fact is he won't be there for our pick in the 2nd round so I have no problem using the 8th pick on him. The best case scenario would be to trade down and get him but why risk that. It would be even better if he's there for our second round pick but he won't go past Cleveland 22nd pick
