I'd be against any WR other than Cooper or White at #14. With a trade-down, Parker is OK. Given the moves we've made, I hope we trade down and pick up Kendricks (good value and still a need, even if not as great as before Suh).

No thanks at 14. I'd take White, Cooper, or DGB there...that's it for wideouts. Parker's not top-15-good, imo. His ceiling is a solid #2 WR.

I would be happy w Parker at 14 if there's no highly rated CB or MLB available.

No thanks on Parker... Picking him would be forcing a square peg into a round hole... We would all be expecting him to be some dominant #1 WR, in reality I see him as no better then a #2. Hopefully the pick is White, Cooper, DGB, Melvin Gordon, Gurley or a trade down. And for the love of god, please Miami, dont trade up.

I cant make my mind up on Parker. I like his hands and his functional speed, but I dont know if he is a true WR1 in this league. Im rooting for him though because I desparately want Miami to take a WR at 14; in fact Id like them to take WR's in the first two rounds in order to maximize our investment in Tannehill.

That said, Im fearful that Parker is too lithe to withstand the rigors of the NFL.

I don't want him at 14 and pretty sure I'd rather have Strong.

Same here, if the plan is to take WR at #14 no matter what and White and Cooper are off the board and they dont want any parts of DGB, I much rather have Strong over Parker.

please don't take a WR at #1, no matter who falls.
A great MLB will give us a top 3 defense IMO. much more impact that a good rookie WR. Lots of WR in this draft, use 2nd pick on one, not the #14.

There aren't any mlbs worth taking that high. Or even close, really. If we are going to reach, it better be on an olineman. Otherwise it has to be a wr imo

I agree with this ^^^ too... However Suh is gonna take a lot of pressure off the defense overall but I still do agree with the sentiment of drafting a FS or LB in rd 1 or Marcus Peters and picking up a WR rd 2.

Will DeVante Parker finally run the 3-cone drill and 20 yd shuttle?

He's described as "average suddenness out of breaks" and "will have more contested catches than most explosive wideouts".

So it's concerning that he didn't run the 3-cone drill and 20 yd shuttle, at either the NFL combine or his Pro Day. What's he hiding?

After all, Amari Cooper, Kevin White, and Jaelen Strong all ran the 3-cone drill and 20 yd shuttle.

DGB is not worth the #14 pick.

Dorial Green-Beckham is a physical freak. But his college stats were mediocre, he has a poor work ethic, poor route runner, drug arrests, beats up women, red flags all over.

I would be shocked if we took DGB in the 1st round.

The only WR's I want in the 1st round are White or Cooper, if they are gone we should go defense.

What is Tannenbaum's record on doubling up. Since I feel we used a 3 to get Stills (a great, great steal by the way) is it likely we go WR at #1? #2?

Why do people have such a hard on for DGB? Bad character, incomplete skill set, and didn't produce in college. The only WR I would be OK with at 14 is Amari Cooper. Barring that, I'd rather take La'el Collins at 14. Fix our last big hole on the oline, get insurance for Albert, and begin training our future LT. Protect Tannehill and open some holes in the run game, and we can compete with the talent we have at WR and TE.

There are only three receivers IMO worthy of a first round pick, and Strong is the third one in somewhere in the 20s. I rather stay put, pick up defense or trade doen. Coates in the second round..

I don't know about this, we still have a pretty depleted secondary, unless you're extremely confident in Aikens, Thomas and Taylor. The only proven starters we have right now in the secondary are Grimes and Jones, and Grimes isn't getting any younger.

IDEALLY, I'd like to see a trade down to the early 20s and pick up a third rounder. Then, take Jaelan Strong (WR) in the first and Stephone Anthony (LB) in the second round; offensive guard in the third would be smart as well.

But we all know this isn't a perfect world. Have to find a trade down partner and hope Anthony slides to that second round selection.

Trade down to early 20's should net us either a low 2nd rounder or possibly two 3rd rounders.

Parker looks like a paper tiger to me. Hell, I would rather draft Kenny Bell with one of our 5th's, but I would much rather still have Chris Conley with a 3rd round pick we get from trading down in the first round.

He looks as good as Cooper and White based on whatever they have on youtube. Great separation and ball skills.

I wonder when the visit is happening. Wonder if it's as simple as the Dolphins working out Michael Crabtree and DeVante Parker at around the same time and then saying, OK which would we rather have?

I don't see anything special about his route running. He could become a downfield deep threat. But what if that doesn't work out?

He doesn't seem consistent. He will either be an effective deep threat or a complete bust IMO.

    Way too risky at 14.

I like him at 14 over Parker because I think DGB has a much better chance at becoming a game-changing #1 WR who seriously affects a defense. He has the tools to become dominant. Elite size, great movement at that size, big catch radius, surprisingly natural with the ball in his hands for a bigger guy, has speed to threaten vertically, almost unguardable in the redzone, quick enough to beat guys inside as well. I mean he's 6'5, runs 4.4, and plucks the ball from everywhere. Do his routes need work? Yes. But given our current pass-catchers I think it's wise to, if you have the choice, go after that alpha perimeter guy.

Thought this as well... I think they really are debating whether they take a WR in the first or not, and I think if one of the top 2 guys don't fall to us, we'll look at another position in the first.
