    Do it.

I'd rather Crayton at #5 and KR than risk Bess injuring himself.

I don't think he would add much to receiving core, however on the special teams part...I want to see what Grice Mullen can do before we go picking up guys.

I don't think hes a bad player, so don't think I'm saying that.

Who do we get rid of to make room for Crayton? I mean, he's holding out in Dallas b/c he's buried on the depth chart, and its not like he'd be getting major snaps here either. I'd be wary of making a move like this. Lets see what the corps looks like come training camp and if Grice-Mullen busts, or one of the core guys goes down with an injury, then yeah, but sans that I dont like it.

If he is cut i wouldnt mind bringing him in and let him battle for the #2 spot oppsite of Marshall but he would bring a lot to our return game also

Well, here is the deal for me, I like the young Wr/Rb/Kr we have and want to see what they can do , however Crayton would provide a fallback Wr/Kr.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6975

13 ypc, 500 yds, baseline of 9 yds per attempt on punt returns, and he scored 2 PR TD's last season, the downside is he had 625 snaps last season as Dallas's #3 Wr, he won't see the field that often in Miami, his value to us is on Special Teams and if Ginn can be peddled for a 5th rd pick, Crayton more than likely isn't worth a 7th based strictly on his work as a returner.

"but" we did just pick up another 7th rd pick, which is sort of the deal when Irish traded for Tony McDaniel, he had to create or replace the pick he used to make that trade.

Crayton blows, no thanks. Won't offer anything as a WR, and is already 31. If we're going to trade for a KR/PR, Johnnie Lee Higgins is on the block.

I'm not so sure I see this regime adding Crayton here. First, we do have some talent at WR outside of Marshall. Now that Marshall is here Bess, Cammy and Hartline fill roles as the #2 and #3 guys. We don't know what progress Turner has made and there is some enthusiasm for RGM. Then there is White. Is he going to be a multi-purpose guy that can return some and play some WR ?? Where does Crayton really fit in ?? He's 31 yrs old and has never produced more than 700 yrds per year in his career... His return skills are good, but if you think he'll be replacing Ginn...well, think again... He's another Cammy/Bess/Hartline to me with slightly better return skills....

    If he is cut.

As for WC's assertion that the Bills would peddle Parrish for a late round pick, I'm not certain that is the case, they are Wr starved and Parrish would make an ideal Slot Wr, in that situation why peddle him for a late rd pick when he is the only Wr with any sort of experience starting outside of Lee Evans?

Thinking about this a bit, Leon Washington went for a 5th rd pick as well, the same as Teddy Ginn, that appears to be the market price for a upper echelon Returner.

As for Johnnie Higgins, last yr in Oakland the rumor was he lost his guts for returning kicks, same as Yamon Figurs did...

Hmm, so I take it you think he is released?

    :D

    Things moving forwards in Dallas:

The one thing with Crayton is I'm not sure he could handle kickoffs as well, his age is sorta irrelevant imho as he scored 2 TDs last season, is healthy, but has not handled kick off returns, if he had to me he would be a safe bet to at least equal Ginn's 1,400 return yds last season.
