SumlitNew MemberI really cannot understand the overwhelming criticism for Tannehill from this forum. You're talking about a 2nd year QB that was vastly inexperienced to begin with, and you go ahead and place him under these circumstances and ask him to throw 30 times in one half of football.
I cannot understand why people complain about him having issues to correct and suffering from inconsistency. I don't really know what any of you were expecting under these conditions.

I don't think he's been bad, but it's maddening that the offense turns to **** inside the 20. It may not just be him, but he's part of that problem.
I like how we are moving the football, but once we get in the redzone it's like the oc panics...
Some people try to find things in this game that don't exist but football is only two things - blocking and tackling.

It's just an underlying lack of football knowledge. Casual fans can only identify with the QB, they don't understand the other parts of the offense and their roles. It's not their faults.

I think the Jets defense will tighten up. Knowing our 2nd half offense, not betting on it.

To be fair a lot of people thought Ryan would be too raw to start last year when we drafted him. They thought this year would be his first year starting.
Just because he exceeded our initial expectations doesn't give us the right to completely change the timetable on hid development.
He gort better this offseason IMO and next season should be his make or break season. If he keeps improving and moving towards his max potential I see no reason to ditch him.

It's not that, more he seems allergic to hitting open Wr's in stride down the field for Td's
he's great at the underneath and tight window stuff, down the field it's a nightmare.

Agreed... Tannehill is inconsistent, but the pass protection and lack of solid running game support is a huge detriment to his growth. He HAS to hit Clay in the EZ earlier though. That was a devastating overthrow.
