Not so much FF, the Jets will have to sign a street FA safety, and a thread for "Al Harris back at practice" seems a bit too much, so a one stop shopping spot for information made sense to me.

I think Vern C is in a bad way.

Vern has been playing like a wounded puppy for a couple games now. I'm sure he's been hurt for a minute.

Both Eric Smith and Brodney Poole can be exploited in coverage.

With as heavily as the Jets blitz this can only be seen as a positive they will have to move a Cb to S and sign a Street Fa Cb imho.

Jets signed COLES to help WR duties...

they are going to have to focus less on O-side and more on D-side with these latest injuries

Coach Rex Ryan revealed that Laveranues Coles will be released this week to make room for a new safety.
Coles was signed with the intention of providing an emotional boost after Jim Leonhard went down with a season-ending injury. That didn't work out so well for the Jets.

Maybe bring back the Warren kid from Michigan>?

They're saying it's going to snow or rain here this weekend, but as we all know that can change as late as Saturday night and it's way too early to tell. I would like a snow game though.

Free agent S Keith Fitzhugh turned down an offer to join the Jets this week.
Fitzhugh was the Jets' first choice for depth at safety because he was with the team through training camp and preseason action. He's now secure as a conductor with Norfolk Southern railroad, though, and he doesn't want to risk his future for a 2-3 week stint with the Jets.

Coach Rex Ryan is inclined to stick with Nick Folk this week after the kicker missed a long field goal Monday night.
Ryan is taking the blame for Folk's 53-yarder that never came close to the uprights. "Maybe that's something I need to look at, is maybe not attempt that kind of kick, his first kick of the day," Ryan said. Folk isn't a fantasy option until he proves far more reliable.

Hmm, let's see if my theory holds..going bargain basement for a kicker is a mistake on a team that plans to contend.

On what planet is losing 13-10 on a fluke "worse" than getting raped on national TV 45-3?

I'm not so sure about that. You usually have to watch college football to see the kind of domination you saw last night in every phase of the game.

Had Chancey Stuckey not had a brain fart, the Jets would have lost to Cleveland as well.

Christ, only a Jets fan can justify thinking that the Dolphins losing by 3 is somehow worse than lose by 6 touchdowns.

According to a source, Harris’ 13th NFL season ended Tuesday when the Pompano Beach native was placed on injured reserve on his 36th birthday.
