Sparano showing this team how to do what it takes to WIN at all costs!! Gotta love that!! Its all on the young guys out there on D now!
Objectively, Turner did not play badly, it is more along the lines of Wallace just having so much more Talent, look at the stats and I'd think they are similar. Wallace made a one handed leaping grab while completely covered, Turner doesn't make that play.
I'll say it again: Nolan Carroll, sir, thank God you've shown something on special teams. I would still prefer Ginn.
Sparano has to be upset. He gave these guys a chance to win the ball game, put it on the D, giving these young guys a chance to make plays, and they blow it. Especially when its a guy like Carroll that gets beat, a guy that's fighting right now to be the third CB.
OK now we can get an idea if these guys are just going thru motions of preseaon. Bring on the Billys. Thank goodness this mess is over.
Turner did have that one awsome play where he drove his own head into the ground! No he didnt catch it, but it was cool!
Saw that one, Turner was upside down near the sidelines. Wallace makes a play it is not a surprise, when Turner makes one, we all are surprised. BTW, anyone else think Mike Nolan is on the hot seat going into the season? All of this keeping his defense under wraps, he'd better deliver when it matters.
Easy to see pod. the offense is behind Nolan has a new group. Henning has to reinvent something. Interesting to see the scripted plays he will dial up in Buff early.
Multiple Q-Marks and Pressure, no doubt. Preseason is not about W's but it is about showing something positive. Hard to find much. However, no judgments here. But, if they don't play well early, this team will be in trouble. As has been note, games 2-7 are vicious. Q-Marks: - How will Henne and the offense go? He just doesn't seem to have charge of things the way Pennington does when he comes in. Will there be a QB controversy if things don't look great after 3 games? - What of Nolan's D (as Padre notes above)? Will it apply pressure to the QB? - What of the whole D-backfield. Where we once thought CB was a strength here, there are serious q-marks where Smith is. I honestly think his success last year went to his head enough that he did not go the extra-mile to get better - physically he looks the same (needed to get stronger in upper body) and has just been burned in virtually every game. If the pattern continues - the team will be bating its breath for Will Allen to return and Smith will be on the bench.
