Michael Clay Highlights (I like this kid's aggression at tackling. Attack Mode ON!). Hope he makes it on STs:
Chad Bumphis versus A&M and LSU (I really like his route running. Not fast, but good route runner and pretty good hands. Should be a slot guy if he makes it). Btw, interesting that we went with 4 WRs.
Notice Jordan Kovacs already picking off a ball and getting a big hit on Jeff Fuller. Modern day Rudy. Coaches are going to find it difficult to shake him off the roster on cut downs. They might stash him on the practice squad just to keep him around. He's that kind of guy. The other guy I like is Chad Bumphis. Admittedly a lot of those guys, I know nothing about. Haven't watched them play.
This is a partial list of tryouts James Ferentz, Center, Iowa (son of Kirk, Iowa's head coach) Donovan Henley, cb, Idaho St. (went to high school in Miami) Jon Richt, qb, Mars Hill (son of Georgia head football coach, Mark Richt) Leon Mackey, DE, Texas Tech (Attended Hinds Community College, initially recruited by South Carolina) Rupert Bryan, OG, FIU (listed as a guard by some draft services, he has size of fullback) David Hines, LB, FAU Zach Richart, LB, Duquesne (related to Marino?) Peter Tuitupou, TE, San Jose State (played on same team with brother, who is a defensive end) Ferbia Allen, TE, Ole Miss (caught 50 yard pass against Georgia last year) Kyle Martens, P, Rice Darius Smith, DT, Miami (had draftable grade) Sam Schwartzstein, Center, Stanford (I have reason to believe based on photos that he is a tryout player; just need to verify ### Among the undrafted players added by the Dolphins, National Football Post’s Russ Lande said keep an eye on Michigan’s Jordan Kovacs (“tough, instinctive, good chance to make it as third safety”), BYU linebacker Brandon Ogletree (“could be special teams ace, Larry Izzo type”); Arizona State running back Cameron Marshall (4.7 career per-carry average; “physical runner; can become a productive No. 2”); and Arkansas linebacker Alonzo Highsmith, son of the UM great…. Duquesne defensive back Zach Richert, Dan Marino’s nephew, will audition for the Dolphins this weekend but is a major long shot.
