Omar Kelly @OmarKelly · 1 min To @theMitchDagg Ryan Tannehill has not had a great practice yet, but what he has been is consistent, all 3 days and that's rarely happened. Omar Kelly @OmarKelly · 15 seg Ryan Tannehill will usually be bad, OK, then good. Then do it all over again. Same thing with his games. So far he's had 3 solid days. Omar Kelly @OmarKelly · 1 min SOLID, CONSISTENT quarterback play will get you to a winning record, 23 points, and an 85 passer rating. He needs to practice like that. Omar Kelly @OmarKelly · 9 seg Two things I wanted to see Tannehill improve on this camp were 1. connect on deep balls. 2. makes his reads & throws quicker. He's doing it.
I'd take Eli Manning as our QB in a heart beat. Won 2 super bowls... both over our beloved Patriots. We should put him on our Dolphins' Ring of Honor for that alone.
Omar needs to settle down... next thing you know a Ryan Tannehill jersey will appear on him out of nowhere.
I will admit that I am not a Cowboys fan and therefore I don't watch many of their games. It just appeared to me that in the few so called big games they played in recent years, Romo just didn't come up big or he threw a late interception and the Cowboys ended up losing the game. As far as his comeback record overall, I'll certainly accept that his record for 4th quarter comebacks seem to be much better than I thought it was. I guess the Cowboys mediocre record over the past several years just made it appear Romo wasn't coming through in the 4th quarter. I do agree that they have had a terrible defense in recent years. Of course the problem with the Cowboys for years hasn't been as much the players on the field as it has been the owner, Jerry Jones. Perhaps if Jones would step down as the teams GM, and hire a quality personnel evaluator, Romo and the rest of the players on the team would have a better chance at success on the field.

His comments today on several players just re-prove he don't have clue one WTF he's talking about. I wonder if he even realizes how stupid he looks.
Good to read the positive reports of AJ Francis. Picking up where he left off last camp. IMO, Anthony Johnson will have to really impress to take the 4th DT spot ahead of Francis. If I ever get a Dolphins logo tattoo, it will definitely be the original. Usually like Walker, but no reason to even suggest feeling bad for a guy who has an old logo tat. There have been several mentions in the media tweets of Colledge doing well. Who was the expert around here who claimed he was toast when we signed him?
That's very fair. The problem is, Tony Romo's unscripted first year was both a cinderella story that ended in tragedy. UDFA comes out of nowhere to lead America's team, date stars such as Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson etc. Then with all eyes on him, he fumbles the snap. So now, his comeback wins garner a night's worth of discussion. His mistakes that cost a comeback or a win is talked about until the next week. Then they play the fumbled snap over and over again. Romo is a good QB. Someone you can win with. Their defense has allowed 30 or more points more than all but two teams since 2010. They finally have a decent year out of a RB from oft injured Demarco Murray. Those 11 comeback 4th quarter wins are out of a total of 24 wins in all. It is all Romo on that team. The reason they are not 2-14 each year is because of him. Romo is a guy with a terrible public perception that is truly undeserved. Everyone loves to hate the cowboys, and they play on national TV more than anyone else.
The heck with two Super Bowl wins. After the last five years, I will settle for a playoff appearance in the first round this year and I'll be a happy camper.
Amen...I'm more of a Romo fan than 9 outta 10 Cowboy fans at work...and I live in Texas! I'll never forget that play where we had the lead, had his *** all but sacked...and he flings it, while leaning over at like 50 degrees, in the grasp, and BAM....touchdown, Dolphins lose...was one helluva pass.
Next practice: Tuesday in pads. I'm looking for 2 or less sacks total (first unit), some sign of the light coming on for James, at least 50% on Tannehill deep throws to Wallace (which would probably = 75% overall for the practice), and continued improvement in Miller...something tells me he's gonna be just fine this year. I know it's asking a lot, but it shouldn't be impossible. What do y'all expect come Tuesday?
Hey, we fans are consistent, like the Dolphins. We were disappointed by deep incompletions in training camp, and equally so during the season. To do their part, the Dolphins threw deep incompletions during training camp then equally did so during the season. We all worked together! Glad to hear the chemistry this training camp sounds a little better. Let's hope that carries over too.
Somehow missed this with all the focus on Wallace and Landry: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/sports/rishard-matthews-making-bid-to-grab-dolphins-wr-jo/ngpRS/ Philbin seems to want Matthews gone, but Matthews is plucky enough to stick around. Not sure what to think of our TE corp either...
I don't have time to copy and paste tweets but they're doing red zone 11 on 11. Defense not having the greatest day. Sam Brenner carted off with a right leg/foot injury. More snapping issues from Smith in shotgun. Offense opening things up more. L. Miller on sidelines with injury but doesn't seem serous at all. Moreno and Pouncey doing rehab stuff on side. That's pretty much the gist of it.
Bit more encouraging Chris Perkins @chrisperk 1m OL doing OK today. There have been holes for RBs. They've prevented DL from being disruptive. Tannehill been upright.
News of day so far seems to be the injuries... good and bad... Misi and Gibson are back completely. Brenner carted off with a leg injury. Lamar Miller a little nicked up but continuing.
Poor Brenner, hope it's nothing serious. He was at least good depth, a young player who could improve, but he has to be able to participate. The center experiment is a serious concern.
Will be interesting to watch Fede in pre-season, with DJ suspended for the first 4 games there's a possible opening for him on the roster if he can grab it. Chris Perkins @chrisperk 2m TD pass called back...holding...OT Tony Hills holding DE Terrence Fede. Told u about Fede...
He's definitely been doing noticeable things all off season, sucks that its the deepest position on the team.
