There was a great argument made that adding JT at this point in the game would be a bogus move considering there is no guarantee he would have lasted this long if we had known he would be here at the start of the game. But I'm open to other arguments. But "Add JT" is not an argument. How about everyone who has been playing vote yay or nay on adding JT along with reasoning. Reasoning behind your vote required. Tomorrow morning I'll either add him or not based on the votes.

My reasoning is pretty simple.

The man will be a Hall of Famer when he decides to retire. He'll certainly be added to our Ring of Honor.

He was Defensive MVP in 2005.

He took a 7 million dollar pay CUT so he could come back and play in Miami. When asked about it, he said "I always planned on going back to the Dolphins."

A better question would be, how can you NOT add him. The man bled aqua and orange for over 10 seasons for us, and now he's coming back after showing loyalty to a franchise that had almost discarded him a year ago.

Those are all great reasons why JT is a great player. But I'm looking for reasons why it's ok to add him into a game that is already in the later stages.

Is that a yes vote? JT would garner many votes out of emotion. But emotion is a valid reason to vote for a player in survivor so that would be OK.

As an UnTEDable, if it means that Teddy is less likely to win by adding JT, then I'm all for it. JT... looks like Jane, plays like Tarzan... :shifty:

I vote nay on JT being added. they don't add people halfway through a survivor season on tv. so no, i say nay.

All I'm saying is that you're stats are flawed. Stats only tell part of the story. If you took Ginn off the field, Cam and Bess wouldn't do nearly as well.

As to you LOL-ing...care to explain? Pennington does NOT have a strong arm. Does he get some deep balls? Sure, when guys have beat defenders by 10 yards...as long as that happens within 20 yards of the LOS, Pennington will throw it. Fact is, Pennington can't throw it downfield with much power, and that hampers Ginn's game. This is not to say that I'm downing Pennington, cause I'm not. He turned our team around. I'm just saying, that Pennington's strengths do NOT play into Ginn's strengths, and to fault Ginn for that is ludicrous. Pennington just is not the type of QB to truly utilize Ginn's strengths, and until we have a QB that can do that, people will sit there and say that Cam/Bess/whoever are better than Ginn...when it just isn't true.

I want to add JT but i dont think we should. Its late in the game and im not so sure he will win although id vote for him. We're so far into it now, no need to add him.

Don't you think that's a major stretch? I mean, all you have to do is go back and look at that long TD pass from CP to TG last year. TG was covered by two guys closely, Chad dropped it in there perfectly... a beautiful pass, and to his credit, Teddy held on to the ball... nice job Teddy. Chad actually had Cam breaking open by 10 yards on the left side, but didn't throw it to him.

I believe he'll throw more deep balls this year behind a line that can pass block longer and a game plan that will open things up to take advantage of the improved line. IIRC the pass to Ginn came off the Wildcat.

No, I don't think it's a major stretch. I think it's much more of a stretch for you to be in here arguing that Pennington has a strong arm. He doesn't. He can't throw out patterns with enough zip, and he can't throw the deep ball with much zip. He gets it done in other ways, and that's fine, but a player like Ginn suffers because of Pennington's limitations. It's really that simple.

But to say that Ginn would breakout under a quarterback that is better suited for his strengths is to make a prediction based on nothing other than potential. We haven't seen it, we don't know it will happen.. hypothetical hyperbole.

When did I say that? Do all quarterbacks that can't make all the throws have "weak arms?" Is there no inbetween weak and strong?
