"Trust me, the guy who went No. 3, we considered him heavily," Kelly told reporters Saturday, referring to defensive end/linebacker Dion Jordan, whom the Miami Dolphins traded up to draft right ahead of the Eagles. "We didn't get a chance to pull the trigger on that one."

He had an opportunity to stop "pushing the gas" so to speak on his "guy" from college now that they are both moved on from Oregon.....yet he continued to praise the kid. I think Dion is a special talent, a special person, and hopefully hes a special Miami Dolphin for years and years!!!

The Jets fans were drooling for him on the gang green site and cursed up a storm when we got him.

Even if kelly wasn't considering him he'd say this. No reason to trash your former stud

So much truth in this quote:

"If you move up to get him, then that means you don't get Bennie Logan because you don't have a third-round pick or you don't get Matt Barkley because you don't have a fourth-round pick. It's the accumulation of putting the whole team together. It's saying, 'What are you willing to sacrifice to get one player?'

Not necessarily.
He could of said the got exactly who they wanted to and called it a day. It wouldn't be "trash talking" his former stud.
Instead, he went out of his way to praise him, and say that they were looking at him hard.

Which is great for us.

It was a great trade. Our d can be so much more dynamic because of him.

Well, way I see it, the moves have been made, for the most part.

Now let the process play out, the next phase will be months and months of practices, meetings and interviews etc, the one nice thing is since we play in the HoF Game, we don't have to wait as long as most fans to see them play.

Still think they will add a Tackle if the current ones seems to shakey, and they will be watching Louis like a HAWK, PFF did a "where pressure comes from study" 4 yrs of data, RG/RT is actually where the highest percentage of pressures come from

Interesting stuff.

More truth in that quote than your silly one.

You act like we gave up the farm because of your bias agenda. We didn't.

We didn't get barkley?! THAT'S your counter point?????

GOOD.

Well, Eagles are in a different place, think about it, older roster that they pushed all in 2 yrs ago to try and make a run, it failed, now they are rebuilding and that pick is needed.

For us, Menelik Watson would not make or break our season, not by a long shot.

For Philly, Zach Ertz can be a difference maker moving forward for them

Good point... Watson is still being called a project. I'd really like to ff to the end of July to see what else, if anything Irish does along the ol. Unfortunately, because of last offseason where they did not adjust the roster (it was at wr last offseason), it makes you wonder what their going to do, be that Winston, Monroe or whoever. The ironic thing is that I felt the exact same way about wr last year....I mean, I kept thinking up until September that he make a move and .....nada... Hopefully, it won't be that way this year...
