Nfln showed about ten plays of the scrimmage. The shotgun snaps were far from ideal. One tannehill caught above his head. Though garners only practice at center once so far
Interesting approach by the coaches...1st string offense versus 2nd string defense, 2nd string offense versus 1st string defense, then 3rd string versus 3rd string. I think Abramson said the final score ended up being 17-14. Tannehill was 10 of 17 for 88 yards, 2 TDs and a 2-point conversion.
yes, this image is showing the other side of the field, no fans... they were all in the home side. But fans and the team should be ashamed of themselves for not showing up in droves. Assuming attendance to the scrimmage was free??? Fans and team to blame for poor showing.
Tannehill looks big too. He's added some serious muscle. Maybe he'll shrug off some would-be sacks ala Ben rapistberger
Eh..how many people really gonna get up for a 9 am scrimmage for a team whos been .500 for what a decade now?
They gotta show something special and have a good year to change that around, unfortunately. If I lived there, me+4 woulda DAMN sure been there.
oh we're still going... thats what she said Chris Perkins @chrisperk 3m Dion Jordan with 2nd sack. Both vs. Jason Fox.
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP 1m Ryan Spadola with a nice catch. He's sort of the forgotten this year. Actually got some regular season action last year. Hartline is not playing today... white man gotta represent.
Again..most important thing Ive taken from training camp is the Tropical Storm ..Bill Lazors offense...looks like its building strength...but will it peter out before making landfall against the Patriots..
Even w/o that, they were QBR 116. Not hyping it up...they SHOULD be around there, if not a bit higher, against the 2nd D.
James Walker @JamesWalkerNFL 4m #Dolphins DE Dion Jordan is actually having a solid training camp. Unfortunately for MIA he will be suspended the first four games. that's okay, we have Terrence Fede.... Fedeohhh... Fedeoohoohoohohhh
Just another thing I want to add. We have had wide open receivers out there today running across mid field. This offense looks light years ahead of last years. Yes Tannehill drove the O the whole field on the frost drive for a TD. Then the 2nd TD drive started somewhere around the 20. Landry looks shifty. Had a drop but it was because he had a misstep before the ball came. Made up for it later tho with some shake n bake and broke a tackle for a TD. Over 10k here so everyone suck my balls!
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP 52s Scrimmage ends, fans give standing O. Announce says over 10k here. Seems like a lot. Dolphins have hired Baghdad Bob to promote the team.
SoFlowSports @SoFlowSports 1m @AbramsonPBP I saw them scanning unused tickets at the gate. Seriously.
greg likens Tannehill's unofficial final stats from today's #Dolphins scrimmage: 15-27, 139 yards, 2TDs, 0 INTs
Chris Perkins @chrisperk 6m #Dolphins announce attendance of 10,000. Much, much media doubt. Media says 5,000. Maybe. good times guys... good times.
Most media guys agree that Tannehill had a nice day...what is pretty unanimous, though, is that the Lazor offense looks much better than Sherman's.
OT: looking at the stadium lights i'm curious to see where they're gonna place the new ones once the canopy is built.
