Man were those releases rather quick or what? Didn't think it would come this early but hey I dont mind.
Dolphins cut eight http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2008/04/dolphins-trimmi.html QB Casey Bramlet, LB Marcello Church, S Tuff Harris, CB Jereme Perry, WR Kerry Reed LB Mark Washington, WR Chandler Williams, and S Cameron Worrell (failed physical) MERGE. Sorry
Im not very surprised we let those guys go... Nothing special there. The one... i guess i might be a little surprised about was Kerry Reed. Maybe im only "surprised" because i hoped he'd work out for us. I guess this means were taking a QB huh? Now were just left with Beck, McCown and Baker... which I think he will be cut later to make room for somebody new.
It is ashame these guys were let go.... I don't know what I'll have with my eggs and bacon for breakfast now with no BURNT TOAST!!
I liked Kerry Reed a lot. He played well in pre-season last well and I though he could be a player we develop into something. I quess Parcells and Company did not feel the same.....
He actually started playing pretty well as he got a few games under his belt. Then of course the safety gods strike him down like everybody else.
Just seemed like everytime he actually delivered a nice hit he had to come out of the game due to injury. (see Cleveland game) And I was at that New England game....probably why Im so tough on the guy.
Dolphins trimming fat Now that two safeties have been trimmed from the rosters deepest unit don't be surprised if California's Thomas DeCoud, or Notre Dame's Tom Zbikowski becomes an option for an early second day pick. Both would make excellent special teamers contributors immediately, and could be groomed as an eventual starter. Safety is one of the hardest positions to draft for because a lot of it depends on intellect and instinct. Until you put them out there on the field and see what you've got it's hard to tell who will be good. Did anyone honestly see Yeremiah Bell coming in 2006? Now if only he can stay healthy. Patrick Cobbs, Steve Fifita, Rob Ninkovich, Derreck Robinson, and a few other marginal talents, survived around round of cuts. But for how long? link http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2008/04/dolphins-trimmi.html
