It's funny that Delhomme refuses to sign with us. He's played for Daboll before, perhaps there's something he didn't like in Cleveland from Daboll.

lol How is it us being "turned down" by these guys?

How about, we wouldn't give them enough money (which they don't deserve), so they wouldn't sign?

^This^. There are so many variables as to why they wouldn't sign. Money: They are in a position of strength as far as asking what they want. Playing time: What coimmitment are we making to them? Garrard doesn't want to be a back up and probably wants the job given to him for the season. Money: Don't assume every out of work player is short on cash. QB's are a premium and at some point this year a team will give these guys what they need as they are the best availbale out there.

I'm personally okay with not signing Delhomme, as he is complete garbage at this point. The same goes for Croyle or Edwards - neither one are any better than Matt Moore IMO.

Still, I would like to see us sign an insurance policy. I'd like us to sign David Garrard but it sounds to me like he is over-valuing himself in the market, otherwise I suspect he would have already joined a team.

My guess is that Delhomme doesn't really doesn't want to play anymore. He just isn't sure enough to file the retirement papers. I think that Garrard is looking for a situation where he is promised a starting spot. Miami looks like a team gearing up to draft the next potential franchise guy rather than a place that would Garrard any kind of long term opportunity.

Garrard pretty much laid out every reason why he didn't want to come to Miami.
