Finatic8480New MemberOPReported to ESPN: Bucs working out Matt Jones today. Titans, Cowboys, Dolphins, Bears & Jets have been looking @ Jones in recent weeks.
The former Arkansas quarterback who converted to receiver once ran a 4.37 in the 40, though his speed never translated into a consistent deep threat.
Among the teams contemplating Jones are the Cowboys, Dolphins, Jets and Bears, sources said.

Won't be surprised if something happens this week. Gives the player two weeks to get used to the offense now that we have a BYE. Also we will need to replace Cobbs on the roster.

Finatic8480New MemberWell, reports are that he had a tremendous workout with the Titans and I think he has learned. Plus I dont think he failed any drug test, Im not sure. It was more of being with the wrong people with the wrong stuff at the wrong time. Correct me if Im wrong.

boy, if the Wildcat didn't already have enough options...it could get quite ridiculous if we had a receiver who could line up under center, too.

He had been considered "immature" and "lazy" while in JAX. Don't know much about his off the field issues, but I know he screwed up a second time earlier this year.

Vengeful Odinforum_veteranThe only way I would go near Jones is for the league minimum. He's shown absolutely nothing thus far in his NFL career that would lead me to believe he's anything special at wide receiver ... and he's already had 4 years to prove himself.

Zeke0123forum_veteranIf we sign him I have confidence Ireland and BP feel he is done screwing up...with that said he makes the WC that much more effective..now we can bring back that QB aspect of it without actually having to show our hand early in the play..MJ would be lined up as the single WR and could go out on a route block or shift to QB and throw like a QB...could be very exciting indeed.
