NFL has moved the Patriots vs Broncos game to next Monday Night which means we are forced to hve a bye week after todays game against the 49ers.

Well that's some world-class BS! Let's penalize the team who followed protocols to make exceptions for Goodell's favorite. That means if we get sick later in the season, we have no bye left since we were forced to waste it helping out the Pats.

Easy patriots take the forfeit and move on. They have caused issues in 2 consecutive weeks of scheduling effecting multiple teams. Same with Titans. Move a better game to Monday night in their place.

This sucks, we were counting on that game as a W, yes we might get the W down the road but we could have used it now to help get us back on track

Positive spin. I think that this really opens up the door for a Tua start versus the Chargers.

I am pretty sure if we get waxed today in San Fran, it will be Tua time after new bye week. Could be blessing in disguise...

Lock will be back from his shoulder injury by the time we play the Broncos (unless things were worse than reported) so it will be a much tougher game.

On the other hand, this season was really all about getting Tua ready for 2021. I'd like to see the OL in better shape before putting Tua out there, plus starting versus the Jests would be a nice way to ease him into the NFL. Not sure how much Fitztragic I can stomach though, so I wouldn't complain if we see Tua start sooner.

As much as it is unfair to teams in the NFL, I have to agree. I mean, you can't prevent getting the common cold so there's really no true way you can prevent getting Covid19. You can take preventative measures, but nothing in life is 100% guaranteed so, if yuou can't field a 53 man roster for your upcoming game, I say you forfeit.

It's not about fielding a team though, it's about transmitting the virus from one team to another during the game. Until a team goes several days without a positive test, you can't be sure all the infected players have been found. The NFL has to be worried that things will spiral out of control and they'll be forced to put the season on hold for 1-2 weeks while teams get infections under control.

Looking back, there should have been TWO byes for each team and an extra week at the end of the season that could be waved if not needed for playoff implication games to be played built into the schedule. Now we get a mad shuffle of games and at some point it just won't be enough without adding to the regular season.

Also, imagine the playoffs if a team gets some positive results. What then? The AFC championship gets delayed for a week for example, then you need to put the NFC championship game on hold too, right? Or let the AFC champ play the Super Bowl on one weeks rest?

I've thought that all along- just make it a 20-week season with two byes and a make-up week at the very end.

In that scenario, I'm assuming that we do whatever works best for Belichek since that's the current trend.

No word yet on @Broncos game. Could be an end of year make-up game.

Sorry, bunk that!! The league seems to be bending over backwards to accommodate the Patriots. The league has permitted an expanded practice squad. If a team can’t field a 53 man covid free team they should have to forfeit

Great, now we’ll have a play on a field that’s all torn up from the day prior

You could field a team with 50 players signed off the street that week and the NFL wouldn't care that the game is NOT even remotely competitive. They ONLY care that you don't spread the rona to other teams. The way to do that is to not allow a team to play anyone until they can pass testing for several days in a row with no new cases.

The NFL also doesn't care if some teams get a break with the schedule changes and others are messed over. Just as long as the games get played at some point.

That's simply insane...two schedule changes in two days. I'm glad they kept plugging along though and found us a game; it's got to be a nightmare making all of this work. Kudos to the league though in balancing it out.
