Pretty much how I have felt about Ryan all season. I keep saying it... The guy is just a journeyman QB right now. Horrible one play great the next.

What kills me is that tannehill has the physical tools to be a great QB. I am starting to think he doesn't have the brains to be one.

    Quoting Ronald Reagan now:

    "There you go again..."

I never said anything about our QB, coach, defense, FO, or anything. I'm just tired of losing.

How is that throwing the players under the bus? That's as generic a comment as it gets. You also have no idea what the whole transcript says yet.

How about they should fkn KNOW what to do...ESPECIALLY on the fake mother f***ing spike! No excuse for that crap...none at all...Marino patented it, others have copied it, smart QBs always have it in their arsenal, yet BOOM....fkn turd.

certainly true... he's called timeouts in those scenarios the entire time he's been here. Whether its the right thing to do or not, not sure... it's worked before though.

I prefer a QB who shows up for 4 quarters and not just one half of a game. Tannehill is just too inconsistent and I don't think he is the type of QB who can lead this team to the playoffs.

If you are happy with mediocre, Tannehill is the QB for you. If you want a QB who can put the team on his back and win games like today, I fear the Dolphins will have to find that QB elsewhere.

I guess tannehill blowing *** the entire first half means nothing?
leaving the defense out there in that heat for the entire first half had no impact on the end of the game? Right?

jesus... Philbin is an idiot but Ryan is part of the problem

Tannehill shouldn't get a pass for his horrid first half.

He certainly didn't help their cause in the first half, no.

Edit: He ended up 64% comp rate and over 7 YPA though, the two INTs kill their rating of course and they were both bad decisions/throws.

If he'd had 6 or 7 other completions before those, I have no doubt they wouldn't have happened. He's proven he needs to warm up (hello Lazor), warm him up first.

One read option for forty yards, and never to be seen again, even on the games last drive where you want to run the ball, and if you want to be conservative, that fits as well, but nooooooo, also you just witnessed how running around improves Tannehill awareness, so what do you do on the final drive? no read option, no rollouts, just constrict him to the pocket against full metal jacket blitzes..

Lol..where is the brains in that?, please tell me why we shouldn't of run read option, and rollout in that situation, please give me a logical explanation?

tanny was awful in the first half, but we had a chance to win the game, probably an 80% chance late in the 4th, and seemingly every decision our coaching staff made was the wrong one.

Yeah, that is what I meant... He may be book smart (which I believe he is) but he does not process info quickly. He doesn't process info fast enough to be an nfl QB

We ran plenty of option today. Tannehill should have just taken the sack instead of throwing it away, but there were more then enough mistakes to go around

Perhaps you need to look again at his won-loss record as an NFL head coach and you will realize that it works less often than it works.

This team is playing in the weakest division in football and they are in third place after five weeks.

Philbin, the coaches and most of the players just aren't getting the job done. They have now lost their last two home games and there is no excuse for that ,except they just aren't good enough.

He wasn't coached to take the sack. We have worse coaches than players. Nuff said!

I can imagine what the Tannehill haters would be saying if he had taken a sack instead of throwing it away. They'd be screaming about how he has no awareness, etc. Because he threw it away, it's being spun into no awareness because a sack runs the clock more. He seriously can't win.

How about if Tannehill had not thrown the ball away on that last possession? GB gets the ball back but with 40 less seconds to score.

Was nice of McCarthy to show Philbin what he should've done on 4th down in the RZ. Thanks Mike.

Yeah I know, Philbin's mistakes changed how Rodgers played by giving him enough time to get the comeback... and then by calling a TO with 0:07 left to hand Mike McCarthy a chance to dial up a great play. Butttt, you could probably say Philbin's decision to not take the FG in the 1st quarter changed how Tannehill played because Ryan should've had an opportunity in OT to win it.

Chris McCain called fake spike a shocker. #Dolphins didn't see it coming.

I knew it was coming, I think a lot of people did...except the 11 on the field playing defense

You could use this logic to justify almost anything. If the QB didn't throw two INTs, then maybe Joe Philbin isn't in position to make mistakes at the end of the game?

because he had one keeper does not make it ok to not call it during the most critical drive of the game, the point is to call your best plays in situations like that..it's the safest and best call..

As a coordinator in that situation, you've got to use misdirection because the defense is committing themselves..their not in the mindset to stay disciplined, that's why its was a huge mistake not to go read option keeper, or rollout to either side..just bad play calling, simp,e as that..

I think Tannehill is the kind of QB that can run out there and run what the coaches tell him. What he doesnt ever do..is use his head to set defenses up..or do the things on his own..to be a play maker.

In short..theres no creativity in his play. Im not sure if that can be fleshed out by a different coach or what..but Tannehill Qbs like Philbin coaches...

Not really, unless you thought the players shouldn't have been trying for the 1st down and drive continuation.

He should have known to take the sack even back in high school. There's a point when the player can go ahead and take the liberty of having some football smarts.

    Keep the clock moving.

I suppose it's up to the staff to know that their QB has no awareness of context within a football game, but damn, it's not brain surgery. Just keep the clock moving.

...and risk having the ball stripped? It was the right call. No qb plays a perfect game every week. Hell if they dont't call a fourth down timeout , Rodgers just took a bad sack and got completely outplayed in the second half by Tannehill. This one is on coaching...
