Brother John, sorry to see you step down as admin, you will be missed in that regard. I understand limited time and "short life" syndrome, I'm in the middle of trying to make things match myself. I hold no animosity for anyone who chooses to attend multiple sites including the one this great site spawned from, I never have. For me unfortunately I think that bridge was not only burned but blown right off the map. With my limited time I save it for this site, my Dolphins home, enjoying the brothers and sisters that I have here. I will enjoy the moments that our paths cross here and hopefully at any events. Live the dream brother, whatever that dream may be.

What the bloody'ell has gone on around here? I don't post that often now-a-days due to expanding family and work but did notice a change a few months back that I didn't really enjoy but have noticed that the 'regulars' whose posts I enjoy reading seemed to have disappeared.

I hope the likes of FFIC & dolphindebby don't leave permanently you guys, as well a lot of the guys above, are a large part of the reason I still come to this site.

As I stated I have taken this upon myself. I understand that the phins is your home and I am not looking to change that for anyone. My goal is try to create peace and put the past behind us. In talking with Matt the owner of Finheaven, he has agreed to remove the name the phins from being restricted in showing up when you type in for any reason. Also if you are interested in visiting, send me a pm with your name there and I will submit it for unlocking if you were banned. This is up to Matt. If you are re-instated over there we must follow the TOS as we do here.

If you have no interest in doing this, then fine so be it. If you do then that is fine as well. I am not here to lure any one away, but to give you another option at Dolphin conversation.

Totally agree. I have formed friendships from this site that have carried over off this site. Meeting brother Greg and his family in the city for beers and wings a few years ago was a good time and there are many others I speak to regularly on aim.

Sadly for some people thats not just an internet persona...just be yoursef and the rest will take care of itself. I'm blessed with a really thick skin so not much really gets to me on a personal level because lifes too short to worry about who doesnt like you and he said/she said crap :up:

Even when John steps down he always seems to be around which is good. I understand the demand on time that being a staff member here has though as in a way you feel obligated to check the staff forums for reported posts/issues and check your pm box for those that need help with stuff. Ive never minded much because most of the stuff I can do from my phone but I could understand why someone would. You spend less time posting and more time helping others which isnt a problem but its another responsibility. Not being married and having no kids...I have all the time in the world :up:

And after the last few posts I left on a certain site, Im pretty sure that bridge is definitely burned so ill be here with ya the whole way dude :lol:

John I appreciate what you are trying to do, And from the little I know you, I can tell that everything you do is for the right reasons. I think harmony between sites is a fantastic idea. Best of luck.

this "web site war" was fun at first.....now when you really think about it, its all dumb. all stupid. and i could care less about "allegiances" and what not. i lurk finheaven, i lurk phinzmania.....and i frequent here and fanhell (i dont know why). how about we talk about the dolphins on whatever board we want, getting olive branches and invites back to other sites is kinda pointless.......this is all about a game.

Brother John, you are one of the best and nicest posters here, we love you much and respect any decision you make, just so long as you keep on posting and spending time with us. I have no animosity towards other Fin Fan sites, including FinHeaven, I just don't have the need or desire to go anywhere but this site. All my friends , no, family, are here.

It's just that you guys have built no doubt the very BEST Fin Fan site on the web, and it's not just the graphics, its the atmosphere, the great people, the great posts, the incredible intel, the superior (IMHO) gurus such as Boomer, Ck, KB, Con, Alen, et al.

I'm just VERY glad you aren't leaving the site, and want to say THANK YOU for being such an integral part of building this fabulous home we all enjoy so much. Love ya Bro!

this site has already undergone too many changes. many of us have counted on your support & presence, you are the reason I post this site. as I see it, looks like a bad move for ThePhins. we have already lost a number of quality members & friends to other sites & many more are splitting their time between other forums. I've noticed a real change in the direction & quality of the site in recent months & bigger is not necessarily better.
the bright spot is that you're doing what is right for you & are good w/it. got to be happy for you. this site has just dropped considerably for me w/ your decision. you're a special edition & the backbone of ThePhins, your presence is irreplaceable. it is what it is. things change. it w/ an excellent run. maybe spreading yourself out across Dolfandom is a good thing for everyone to consider. keep in touch. I thought it was always dumb because as you said, we're all here to do the same thing, discuss the Miami Dolphins with other passionate fans. I also lurk and sometimes post at FH. Don't forget that's where most of us started and there are still a lot of great posters over there who love their Dolphins just as much as you and I. We should all embrace that special bond.

to date I've received five invites from fellow posters who are moving to other sites. this is an anonymous but direct quote from one of our own:
