Ahhh bask in the glory of terrible contacts.....

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports that cutting Mark Sanchez would cost the Jets a $17.1 million cap hit in 2013. The financial numbers just keep getting worse for Jets fans, and it just shows how stupid it was to renegotiate the quarterback's deal last offseason. Sanchez's salary cap number for 2013 is $12.8 million, which includes $8.25 million in guaranteed money. New York could lessen the blow by trading Sanchez, but no team in its right mind would pay those figures to a mediocre quarterback. Basically, Sanchez is uncuttable and the Jets are stuck with that albatross of a contract for at least another season.
