My Son Codi ...aka DOLFANCODI... recently attended a full contact football camp at the University of Redlands in So Cal. We were thrilled to discover one of his coaches was a former Miami Dolphins OL. Can any of you guess who this man is? I'll give you a few hints. He is now 38 years old. He played in the 90's for our beloved Dolphins. He attended a University in the Southest US... Codi won the camps award for Most Outstanding OL at a camp for kids ages 11,12,13,and 14. This was a special achievement for him because he just made the switch from FB to RT and he beat out some older kids to win the award. There were 160 plus kids at the camp. He is currently 12 years old and is 5'7 170. He was punishing on his blocks and I'll post a few pancake blocks for you all to check out in a week or two.
Congratulations to Codi.He is getting good coaching I am sure and I dont only mean the former Dolphin player...Tim Ruddy.....or whoever he is.
wow, Mike you must be as proud as you can be. THE O-line award... please give my congratulations to Cody, he's not even my boy and I'm sitting here glowing. Well done.
Well done Cody! Mike you need to get on the phone...your boy needs to represent on one of those "younger athlete" underarmor commercials.
BTW - There's a thread on Buckeye Planet featuring Codi as an up and comer. I'll send you the link soon when I update it on how he did at camp this year.Title of thread is - Future Buckeye? Thanks everyone for the kind words. I know Codi will be smiling from ear to ear next time he reads up on The Phins!
I'm not sure if we drafted him or not. If you can find me a Dolphins draft history I'll look it up and let you know though!
That's pretty awesome...5'7", 170- and he hasn't hit puberty yet??!? That's a big boy ya got there. *Jeez, that was my height and weight as a senior in HS
