With the emergence of breaston in this game, boldin will definetly be in the mix come free agency time.

He had 1k this year. If they are high on Doucet, they should not mind too much parting with Boldin though.

How much of those 1k came off of Fitzgerald and Boldin being the center of attention?

i dont get this, can you stratin me out on the situation as to why we would have to give up a pick...are'nt they basically saying their gonna let him out of the contract...or is that wishful thinking on my part.. I dont wanna part with my picks either..

Let me pose this to you stitch, if you could give up the 25th pick for boldin, then turn around a get a late 1st rounder for ginn, would you do it?

I mean if we get boldin, someone is gonna have to be the lamb, and ginn is the only one that could net us a high draft pick.

His contract runs through 2009 I believe. They won't release a pro bowl wide receiver, instead they will shop him for likely multiple draft picks.

Certainly not 21 catches for 276 yards of it at least. :tongue2:

He has 3 years left on his contract. At best it is up after 2010.

And DJ, I don't want to part with Ginn, so I would pass on that trade. Though I may be the only person who would.

Dansby, rolle, cromratie, watson, dockett, wilson, berry, a little calais cambell sighting, who else am i missing....those are some young horses on that defense.

steelers are all lebeau and palomalu....harrison is a late rounder from kent state and woodley was a third round pick i believe, who else they got, brett keisel, larry foote, keamateau, old farrior, mcfadden

right now talent is overcoming scheme on both sides of the ball.

I just think lebeau is a freakin genious

Doesn't matter when they were picked or where they came from, DJ. They can play. Keisel, Foote, Farrior, Keamatou, McFadden and Smith are all underrated.

It's not that I don't want anything to do with Boldin. I just don't want to give up a 1st rounder for him, or give up on Ginn yet.

Oh, my bad. Don't be sorry lol. My fault. :wink2:

I'll take Boldin if they take one of our second rounders, which is highly unlikely.

Crabtree for a 2nd rounder would be hilarious. I doubt we'd even get him if we moved up a few spots. Kenny Britt I like though.

Not so fast there, I would attribute some of Britt's RZ TD production to the fact that Rutgers often runs the ball heavily there and some bad throws+double coverage. When he's had opportunities within 20 yards, he's capitalized. I've seen pretty good 7 yard and 16 yard catches for TD's. I think he'll make a fine RZ WR for us and could easily be better than what we have now (not hard to do anyways).

Well I've seen more TT games than Rutgers. I just was going by the #s on his RZ production.

i said on paper, it just goes to show you what coaching and scheme can do for a player, for goodness sakes, harrison was cut by the ravens and the steelers. thats mindbogglin to me. Our current defensive MVP was cut twice.

I still don't agree with them being better on paper. More younger talent? Possibly. Better? IMO, no.

He's a very good player. I think the best comparison of Britt is to Terrell Owens.

i dont have a strong enough conviction to defend my point, but i would venture to say that overall, the cardinals have a higher overall draft board then do the steelers, it would be an interesting study.

ummm, like from top to bottom, which team would have the higher grade of talent, relative to where all 53 men on each roster was drafted.

To say most electrifying since Randy Moss would mean you think Crabtree is better than Fitzgerald? I sure can't agree with that.

Iam doing a lot of projecting here, this kid did his damage as a true freshman and sophmore, in one of the best conferences in the country. your point about larry is well taken, hes phenominal, but crabtree might have the same skill set.

True enough. That's why I think Britt could surprise folks if he lands in a good passing offense.

According to Madden 09 he does. I drafted Crabtree and he is our highest rated WR as a rookie (one point better than CJ....who I also traded for and considerably better than Ginn). We have a NASTY WR corps going into my 3rd season...Crabtree, Calvin Johnson, Ginn, and some other guy that's pushing Ginn for the #3.................................

    I'd draft him :tongue2:

    Close enough.

On the field and skill-set wise you mean. I know McShay labels him as a primadonna but outside of a 1 game suspension that's questionable in nature, I've heard the complete opposite. I don't see any more out of Britt than I do with any other WR.
