I am very interested to know how many of you listen to any sports shows and when they talk about players going to the dolphins or to a team outside of our division if you have heard these lame excusesfor not going to the Fins? I guess i should stop listening to Doug Gotlieb because he has so much disdain for miami and praising the Pats. here is the excusess and it isnt Doug Gotlieb its the media all over that say this. 1. BUT Who wants to play in the afc east and have to play Tom Brady twice a year. 2. the afc east you have to play new england twice a year. ( really Doug where have you been besides kissing Brady 's jock; 3 Payton doesnt want to play in the afc east because Rex Ryan and the JETS WILL BE CEMENTED IN 2ND PLACE . 4. You dont want to play in Miami because they play Bill Bilchecks teams which will be winning the division for several years so Miami is a place you cant win . these are all the same excuses but why are people simply ignoring Miami and how in hell can you kiss Tom Brady's *** and stil do a radio show ? this radio show wasnt my ding it was at a place that i went to eat . doug was saying miami or the cardinals he said the cardinals dont need a qb and chicago needs a qb but the dolphins are the Clippers of the nfl. So how are we supose to get better if alll the goood player avoid Miami at some point the patriots will have to start having bad luck .
You make your own luck, patriots are no different You. Either get the good FA because you are one of the few elite teams that can say you give them the best shot at a championship OR you pay the most money. We are the latter, so you just have to target a couple of key free agents and pay them
don't worry Aqua, real men will want to compete with the best...He was just messin around because of how he regards Brady.
Yeah the Pats **** was sickening when the discussed Fisher. I don't want a player or coach who isn't up to the challenge. I want them to hate the Pats & Jets more than I do, like Zack did.
you have a better shot of beating the pats in the playoffs if your in there division that's just my opinion no one wants to play there divisional foe in the playoffs
yes, yes, no, yes. have heard those. i agree. i'd rather face a team outside the division than in. in the division you've already faced them twice that year.
Beat me to it. As soon as Gottlieb starts talking about anything other than NCAA Hoops, is the time to stop listening.
Gottlieb doesn't want to play in the AFC East? That sucks, I had him penciled in as the fluffer for my fantacy team next year.
It sucks that every other AFC team is exempt from playing NE in the playoffs or AFC Champ game in order to reach the Super Bowl.
Well, my take is this: -I rarely listen to sports talk radio as there is little information, lots of hot air, and short memories -I do think Sparano simply could not get us over the hump. In 2010 we beat the packers at home, in 2011 we lost by 3 pts to the pats and Giants, that counts for nothing save for a good weather vane for whether or not there is talent on this team. We have talent, this is not Lil Nicky duct taping up some over 30 yr old players and hoping for the best, I also think Parcellianism did a decent job of some things, was massively outdated on other things, building defensive and offensive lines is great, you also need those smaller quicker PLAYMAKERS in skill positions, and they just waited to long to add them. I see we've been chatting up prospects like Patrick Edwards and Chris Rainey, that sort of explosive playmakers we need, hopefully Philbin heard "it's a big man's game" hopped over the conference room table and smacked the Irish Weasal around with a "never want to hear those words from your mouth again" Corleone style punking of Tom Reagan.
Mr Clean i know yu are right iand i have quit listening to him it was on somebody else 's radio or I would haveturned the station. the problem is if a guy wants sports news espnis the only station i can pick up here. which makes me isolated from the pro dolphins networks. I am still trying to find legit dolphins information .
Well, if you want to save yourself some time, then just listen to the archived interviews online. You could be outside of high speed coverage though, if so, disregard of course ESPN is OFF my radio dial for the next 3 weeks or so, depending on if the Giants or pats win, who needs it?
The way he's playing I think he'll die before he retires, which could be either unfortunate or fortunate depending on how close you can get to him and how prepared you are to visit the pokey. lol.
every season is different. Look at the bengals this season. They're in a division with the steelers and the ravenss and they weren't that far off from winning it. The right players and the right opportunists (a weaker schedule?) gives you a chance to make noise. Excuses are like *******s.
Look, the teams with more success get more coverage, unless you are the jests...they benefit being in NY. As to FAs, I'm sure that they are human and they also think about things like coming to Miami with having to play NE and the jests entrenched. It's a fact, isn't it....but being players, they also know that maybe, just maybe next season with them here, it won't be the same, that they can help make a difference. Back in the day, when the Fins were the top dogs in the AFCE (and that was for quite a while), I'm sure those things were said by announcers and felt by listeners about us. It's just that internet radio and trading of sound bites from station to station wasn't around at that time... At that time, all you got info from was your local media (radio and newspaper and Dolphin Digest)... If you lived out of town, you didn't get any info on your home teams... Not to worry tho..all we have to do is start to win....beat the pasties and jests a couple of times and things will change...again... I know how sickening it is to hear about Brady all the time but I'm more worried about the fact that BB isn't going to be retiring soon than the fact the Brady may...he's what makes that team go round...
The Dolphins should have made a big offer to sign Bernard Pollard when he was a UFA last year. Now they should trade something for him this off season. He is the secret weapon, the destroyer of NE Patriots. Brady's knee, Welker's knee, and now, Gronkowski's ankle, all thanks to Mr Pollard.
Some a-holes paid a bunch of money to fly an airplane over the stadium with a Fire Ireland banner, so maybe we could take up a collection to get some A-Rabs to kidnap Belichick and Brady and hold them in a cave in northern Pakistan until they are too old to coach or play football ever again. How much you think that would cost us?
