Disturbing Report - Ross pushing for Tannehill?

Like I said, I don't think that's what they're doing here.

 

I do not think anything is really happening and the media wants to report on something so people read their websites.

 

Well, SOMETHING is happening. I don't think Peter King made something up just so someone would read his column. He doesn't need to that at this point in his (lofty) career.

 

I do think Peter King would make something up just so someone would read his column. I do not think his career is that lofty. He is a sports writer. He isn't writing about war.

I more think along the line that someone who works for the Dolphin thinks something and he is reporting it as if it is something.

 

Another thing it could be is a team with a draft pick higher than Miami "leaking" this stuff out to the media to try and drum up trade interest of someone else that might be hot after Tannehill

 

The "lofty" part was a joke. He often uses the word. It's become a King-ism. We disagree though. The guy simply doesn't need to make things up. You're talking about someone who waffles on predictions so much, and puts a caveat in every single one, as if he's afraid to actually commit to something. I have no doubt someone told him something. You might as well say every sports writer makes everything up and no one in the history of sports journalism has ever had a legit source if you're gonna use that line of thinking.

Now, whether he was told the truth or not is debatable. That I agree with.

 

I think the term sports journalism in itself is a joke.

Those who can't do sports become writers. Those who can't write become sports writers.

 

That's harsh. I think Dan LeBatard is an awesome writer. Rick Reilly, while kind of a douche, is also a pretty good writer. Same goes for Lupica, Mitch Albom and others.

Buzz Bissinger is one of the best writers out there, not just in sports, but period. I'd put him up against anyone.

 

I think it's wild that the Kings, Lakers and Clippers are all in the playoffs at the same time while sharing the same facility.

Well unless this is a smoke screen seems like Dolphins view Tannehill how I view him.

 

Look, this is no surprise for those following the fins... The sky is not falling. Ross has mandated that we get a 'franchise QB' since January...since Tanny may, and I emphasize may, be one of the last guys we can get fitting that bill this offseason, why should anyone be surprised or shocked that Ross is pushing for him ??

Additionally, Ross has been involved heavily in football decisions, despite how they spin the stories...Harbaugh, Orton, Palmer, Cowher, Gruden, Fisher, Manning, Flynn...the list goes on... He's definitely involved with all the football decisions, despite his and everyone else associated with the fins insistence he is not...He'll be sitting right next to Ireland in the war room as well (Per Ireland on PFT today)...

It's not the end of the world...
