hey guys first post here... i normaly just read up and follow along but today sitting in my office i decided to join and contribute

    so here goes...

i think trading down with tampa will be our best bet... we go down 5 spots to #20 and pick up their second round for our 1st 5th and 7th

#20 kyle rudolph TE Notre Dame (makes sense we need a elite caliber TE)
#51 (tB) Jonathen Baldwin WR PITT (insane size and struggled this year due to poor QB play/great opposite Beast)
#79 Casey Matthews ILB Oregon (hard worker determined physical and BLOODLINE) (he will play hard to match his family legacy)
#110 Noel Devine RB WVU (fast small back to break off huge plays out of the backfeild. we need to keep lex and cobbs)

    Free Agency feelers
    offense
RB (Deangello williams/ if healthy one of the most electrifying players available)(Jerome Harrison / Can be that change of pace back to back up lex or cobbs)
WR (Vincent jackson is unhappy with SD and what better then VJAX and Beast in on the same play)(Mike sims walker beasts college roomate?) (Braylon edwards)
TE (Zach Miller change our complete dynamic of the TE position on the fins hes young up and coming and ready)(Owen daniels- great pass catcher/ injury prone)
    OL (Logan Mankins)(Tyson Clabo)

    Defemse
DT (Haloti Ngata - Probably wont be a FA but if he is. Ross spend the money!)(Richard Seymore probably wont be a FA either but who knows with the raiders)
LB (Paul Posluszny hard working nose grinding ILB goodbye Crowder)(Barret Ruud great in coverage and tackling machine)
DB (Champ Bailey Please Ireland make one of the best DB's wish come true let him play in South Florida at FS for us)(Nnamdi Asomugah ball hawking threat)

I think getting playmakers on offense is key to our success i know OL is very important along with the QB but i think henne gets another year with a draft that could get stanzi to back him up.

I like the idea of trading down in the draft, but not to draft a TE in the first. I think we can get a solid TE (possibly DJ Williams) in the 3rd-4th rounds. Baldwin is pretty sick, but will he be available with the 20th pick in the 2nd round? I doubt it. I would love Noel Devine only if we move towards an open/spread/WC offense. I don't want to draft this guy with the thoughts of using him in our standard run game much. Pretty much, I would like to use him how KC uses McCluster.

DeAngelo Williams- no. He is too old for a RB right now. I love him and he is one of my favorite players, but I don't think he is worth the investment. I may be wrong though.

WR- If we get a guy like VJ or Sims-Walker, it would be pointless to go after Baldwin in the draft. That would mean Baldwin would be our 4th WR...However, I wouldn't mind going after someone like Sims-Walker for the right price, so we can focus our draft on other needs than WR.

TE- I really don't want a FA TE. Especially if we plan on drafting a TE fairly high (you have us taking one in the 1st) and keeping Fasano.

Logan Makins- I would be incredibly happy if we picked him up

Haloti Ngata- There is no way we get him and it wouldn't be worth it. Our DL is nasty.
LB- I kind of want to see what AJ Edds has before we go out and spend money on a FA LB
Champ Bailey/Nmandi Asomugha- Too much money/Not worth it/Our starting CBs are good enough

Pretty much you have us spending too much money. Would that off season be exciting? Hell yeah...But could we afford it? Hell no.

I would have to agree with finsbuck719 here. I don't really like the draft decisions and FA picks up here. If we pick up a WR like VJ or MS-W then there is no need to pick Baldwin in the second if he even makes it there in the first place. I also don't think there is a chance in hell we sign Haloti Ngata, no way the Ravens let him get away from them and if they do why would we pay him what we would need to pay him to get him here if we don't really have a need at that position.

Mankins would be a great pick up, but similar as Ngata I don't see the Pats letting this guy get away. Not to mention, why would we draft a TE in the 1st round if we were to pick up Zach Miller in FA. I want to see us pick up a FA TE as the draft class is not that good at the position, but if we do pick up a FA TE no way I would draft another one.

I don't like Baldwin. To many character concerns. Rudolph would be fine, just not in the first. I've read to many negatives about him from our gurus here to like him. I'd prefer getting Marcedes Lewis in free agency. Devine and Matthews are fine with me. Logan Mankins would be absolutely awesome. I would sign DeAngelo Williams in a heartbeat. I don't get the age question with him, he is only 27. Wide receiver can be addressed later in the round. We don't have to do it early. What we need is a speed threat and there are options later in the draft.

sorry guys didnt mean to be unclear.

the FA pickups are just alternatives to the draft not going that way.

trust me i dont want a 1st round QB if we dont trade down which we should i think we should pick up ingram since ricky and ronnie wont be back.

i personaly love zach miller, i think hes come a long way with his blocking and is a solid TE think about it though, with our trade down to #20 as i stated our alternatives would be to A. get ingram if still there after the pats B. pick up a TE C. Get an elite interior lineman

i wasnt considering picking up all of those FA just stating our options
