Every week, PFT's Mike Florio blasts Parcells and our organization. He's obviously biased, but I just can't find anything on the cause. I know BP is a tough interview sometimes. Did he PWN Florio one day? Is Mike still butthurt over an incident from years gone by? Anyone got anything on their history?
Hmm...Florio is a douchebag and bags on everyone because he can't write a credible article. Hell, he can't even work for a credible publication. I stopped reading PFT years ago, I suggest you do the same. You'll be smarter and more well informed for it.
marvez saying that the Dolphins are oilier than the gulf of mexico is an ignorant comment. florio just reports this stuff however merling should have been cut
I agree Re: Merling. But look at PFT every time Parcells is mentioned. There is venom. Florio's got a grudge for some reason.
Two DUI's and two Domestic violence arrests = 2.5 murders? How do these guys get jobs? Marshall did have problems but until he does something wrong we have to take his change at face value. Ronnie Brown and Will Allen are anything but problems. Two MISTAKES that could have ended poorly but they're hardly oily for it. Merling's situation, if proven true, is sick and he should be cut if that's how he is. I don't know that much about Tony McDaniel's case so I won't comment. I wonder if these guys realize that Marshall and Incognito's problems happened in OTHER cities. I remember everyone making fun of the Cowboys for signing a lot of criminals and everyone talks about The Bengals' propensity for signing ex-cons but these articles are near vitriolic. I'd much rather watch Mel Kiper go through every pick in next year's draft or read K. C. Joyner's articles than read these crap articles.
I disagree. He knows that page views make his site more attractive to advertisers. Negative stuff about the more famous names in the league generates page views. There's not much to it. Don't get all worked up about it.
All I'm saying is the two mistakes by Brown and Allen can be excused if it isn't a trend. Hell, I've driven on 3 hours of sleep over 2.5 days so I understand people do stupid things. Merling, if proven guilty, needs to go somewhere else. I don't know about McDaniel's situation. I don't think Marshall's problems make him a thug, or a hoodlum. As for Incognito, when I played O-Line, we unnecessarily roughed everyone we went up against. It's just concerning he isn't smart enough to hide it.
I don't know about that, but he's always had it in for Miami, even before the Tuna came along. Florio still likes to put his spin on any news 'announcement' or article rather than just present the facts. Additionally, he has certain pet peeves that he just won't let go of (team/agent contact before FA begins, too much contact in offseason OTAs and of course his biggest pet peeve of all is off the field issues by players). He's gotten much better from several years ago and was almost respectable until he partnered with NBC. Whoever he has helping him stay up with things now is just as bad to any thing that comes out in a negative light as Fox is to Obama... You just have to take what he says with a grain of salt. However, the real culprit in this particular case is our old friend Alex Marvez who DOES have a personal issue with the Troika, so I'd consider the source with this one...
Don't forget, Alex Marvez is one of the original "high fivers"... The guy is a douche bag, no matter what truth or exaggeration there is in the article...
all I want to hear about is the games we won & will win want to post a casualty list of opposition players injured on the field of play by our Miami Dolphins want to hear about conditioning programs new systems of play to attack the opposition what detractors have to say about our team does not interest me
At some point, someone is going to wise up and create a website that's just news (whatever the topic) and keep out the moral arbiter commentary. People want news, not opinions and its seems like all we ever get are opinions.
I've maybe read Florio once or twice so I could care less what the dude thinks. People talk, it's what they do.
EXPLICIT LANGUAGE: "You kick my dog!" [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xyr-QJ-9CLs"]YouTube- You kicked My Dog[/ame]
Not true. People want opinions, so they can get pissed off about said opinions, then voice their own opinion, which they feel is the right opinion.
I don't think I've been to that site in about two years beyond the rare times I click on a link from here. I just found that so much of that stuff was crap, wading through that was a waste of time for the few nuggets that turned out. For me it was much more efficient to wait for the more main stream sites to report stuff before I start to pay attention.
Florio is my boy. He makes fun of everyone. People just get offended when it is directed to their favorite team. The fact of the matter is he built his low credibility, high rumor site from the ground up to make him millions of dollars. Regardless of if you agree with him or not, he must be doing something right.
