The guys we've discussed the most on the board... Also, while he was considered a linebacker, potential OLB/DE Cornelius Washington's measurements are: Cornelius Washington Georgia 6-4 265 34.08 The rest: http://www.bigblueview.com/2013-nfl...ve-end-measurements0new-york-giants-nfl-draft
The Centaur with an impressive arm length. Helps explain all the batted passes. Devin Taylor's arm length jumps out at you. Tank Carradine, just the ideal frame to be a balanced run/rush end.
wow, looks like 3 DTs dropped some weight... and Carradine & Jordan gained some. Not sure how I feel about Carradine at 276.
Some defensive linemen that I really like.. Corey Lemonier, Auburn 6'3 255 - he has gained some much needed weight and I think he will show out at the combine. Would love to see us trade down in the 2nd a few spots and pick him up. Cornelius Washington, Georgia 6'4 265 - was definitely misused at Georgia in the 3-4 but showed his ability at the Senior Bowl. I believe a 4th round pick would do it. Really excited about this kid.
Good call. I forgot to include Lemonier. Love him. Those are nice long arms for Corey! I'd love to nab him in the late 3rd if he's around and we haven't gone DE yet.
I know, which is why I did it. One of these days I'm gonna need a favor from you in return. Not sure when.... but you'll know.
Jordan at 250.. Sweet.. I'm confused.. Floyd and Sheldon about the same size, but have completely different movement skills, yet most have Floyd going before Sheldon..I wouldn't because I firmly believe that Sheldon moves much better in a football sense than Floyd..
I think Richardson is trying to get bigger for the scouts, meanwhile Floyd likely dropped weight to time better and look better in drills.
Some DL numbers coming in... Bench Press. Jones, Datone UCLA DL 29 Carradine, Cornellius Florida St. DL 28 Love it. I already liked both. Nice and strong. VERY impressed with this: Lemonier, Corey Auburn DL 27 With that strength and Lemonier's speed, I want him with our 3a pick if he's there.
WOW Moore, Damontre Texas A&M DL 12 CK was right. (Not happy to see Brandon Jenkins onluy lift 18 too... hoped he'd show well)
What Barry is referring to though is my observations that Damontre Moore looks physically weak in his engagements with offensive linemen. There's definitely a strength issue there and it's dripping all over the film IMO. I think everyone notices it if they really watch, I'm not special. I just think sometimes it's dismissed a little more until you get some kind of glaring signal like this. But only 12 reps calls into question for me more than just the strength. It calls into question his work ethic.
agree. That's just terrible. I'd like to see his explanation for it. I'm white, weigh 183, and [strike]can[/strike] was once able to put up 18 in college.
What I dislike MOST about Damontre Moore is the chance that Jeff ireland will talk himself into selecting him. jeff tends to like reducing risk, and one way to do that is 'knowing more' about a prospect than usual. Mike Sherman was Damontre's head coach, so that might make Ireland more comfortable taking him than taking, say Sheldon Richardson, Ezekiel Ansah, or even Star Lotulelei. On the other hand, if Sherman holds a low opinion of Moore, maybe it works against Damontre. Certainly Damontre's weak-sauce benchpress isn't impressive. But it may actually mean he falls as far as 12... to us. He rounds off corners worse than...
Yeah. I'd like to know details. Is it manageable. How much will it affect his status, I wonder. Does he fall past 20?
I could tell from the skills challenge, up close, that he hasn't taken his physique training that serious in college..it reflected today it seems.
