Defense getting the best of the offense early, a good sign or no?

Much Ado... Our beefed up attacking defense has been on display while the guys are in shirts and shorts, and from all accounts playing musical chairs on the interior of the OL with Ted Larsen, Eric Smith, Bushrod, Jesse Davis, and some other OL bodies.

Good news is that Charles Harris has been displaying why we took him with our first pick, Jordan Phillips was praised him for his improved consistency in effort and play and we have a much improved CB and Safety corp.

Gase has also been retraining the WRs on sideline and EZ play to stay on their feet and not jump for balls needlessly as it's too easy for DBs to push them OOB.

Not sure why some seem to be trying to paint this a failure of the Offense or WRs... DBs bark and talk cause that's what they do. Wait for the pads in July before trying to make hay out of practice performances.

Let's just keep in mind our plays are likely the most basic we run at this time of year. Also they will be repeated time and time again. its just about basics, etc.

Let's not go too crazy at the moment. It just became June, and I'll say it again - June.

It's not a big deal that the D is ahead...it would be a bid deal if they werent.

I remember when we scrimmed with the Carolina Panthers in August of 2015, and our D supposedly dominated them.

Maybe because no one is calling it a failure by the offense...

Man, some people around here really struggle with non basic conversations. The point was that we have much much more youth and inexperience on the defensive side of the ball and thus far it was encouraging to hear how well they were doing.

-Everyone knows the defense was bad last year so gee, maybe let's discuss our young additions
-Oh, its June? Wow...you guy's are breaking serious ground around here

We have one side of the ball with proven playmakers and the other side with young unproven front 7 players. The battle should be monitored all through camp, and not one conclusion was made that they are "better" than the offense.

It's a talking point, destroyed by cliche playground comments and a truck full of hyperbole per usual.

Well, when the thread title says "good sign or no," you probably should expect pushback from people saying, "It's June, and they're in shorts."

But why "pushback"? I wasn't "pushing" anything? It was a basic question that naturally people around here take to weird levels. It's an odd theme that is all to common.

That means they are accusing him of asking for a conclusion of the offense and defense for the year, after padless OTAs.

In that OP, he was not asking for anyone to make conclusions about the team. In fact using words asking people not to make final decisions, since it is early.

If you think his post is asking for a conclusion about those OTA sessions then it's not too early, because those sessions are over.

I even threw in "something worth monitoring" and they still didn't understand it.

Here is what they deduce everything to be. "Oh he is saying Tannehill isn't playing well" who cares that he is likely getting less throws in these spots than most.

We also both know if I started a thread saying "wow fellas Tannehill is torching the Db's" Thea same guy's would be like hell yea man, he's the man!!
