    Agreed.

Hakeem Nicks was spent to NY Special Surgery Hospital today to get an MRI. They fear he has a serious injury.

    Roundup

Interesting as the impression was McCoy was running with the third team.

Pat White is in real trouble to make the team, I suspect he is being quietly shopped around the league.

Hakeem Nicks is fine. MRIed last night in Albany, this AM in NYC at HSS and examined by Dr. Russ Warren. Everything checked out A-OK. #NYG

They would have signed Plax if Nicks went down

The New York Post reports that Plaxico Burress is expected to be released from prison within "two or three weeks" for good behavior.

The Post cites a "person who has visited Burress at the Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome," so we'd take the report with a grain of salt. He's expected to join a work release program upon leaving prison. Though it remains unclear when Plax will be permitted to return to the NFL, Giants GM Jerry Reese said his club will "definitely investigate" a potential re-signing. Don't hold your breath on a quick signing, though. The Giants already have a deep receiving corps, and Plax doesn't play special teams. We still consider him a longshot to play in 2010.

I would definitely be interested in looking at who they cut. They have a pretty deep receiver stable over there. Might be able to get a better number 5

I would be surprsed if the NFL doesnt wack him first, I think the Giants may pass, depending on how dinged up Nicks is...

Next practice is at 8pm this evening, and apparently will be outdoors and open to the public, but it is raining at the moment so that can change.

Beat me to it Alen, I think the injured players have to pass through waivers before their roster spots can be filled.

    #27...Joey Thomas?

Edds is wierd, if its waivers in the baseball sense I guess, not sure how that goes.....but IR is season ender not to count against the 53 man limit....not sure what "exposing him to waivers means"

as for Sheets, unfortunately I think they are pursuing an injury settlement with him and cutting ties.....thats sucks bro...

this doesnt saying anything about waivers, trading him...other temas looking at him...he is ours...

Dolphins placed ILB A.J. Edds on injured reserve with a torn right ACL, ending his season.

At least it happened early. Edds will be a full year recovered from his reconstructive knee surgery by the start of 2011 training camp. It remains to be seen if he'll lose speed or agility, which were calling cards for the projected nickel linebacker. Edds was the 119th overall pick in April's draft.

He'll land on #Dolphins IR if he clears waivers. RT: @OmarKelly RB Kory Sheets, who hurt his Achilles today, has been waived/injured.

So yes, I assume they are talking about Sheets.
