Heard it on ESPN radio this morning, so no link, but its said that the Tigers don't want his contract and may very quickly turn and trade him for prospects. Mets are said to be involved. Take it for what its worth.
On the Willis front, Mets sources believe the Tigers may look to flip the lefty they just got from the Marlins because of payroll limitations. The Mets would be interested in speaking with the Tigers, but no dialogue is believed to have occurred yet. It is believed the Marlins may have insisted the Tigers take on both their arbitration-eligible players, Willis and third baseman Miguel Cabrera. nothing to it imo. Ive heard too many things contradicting that report. The are after: Santana Bedard Burnett Bay Those are the names Ive heard associated with the mets coming out of different media outlets. Would love to get one of the pitchers and Bay. That'd be hawt....
