Dolphins are saving their "big name" cuts until later in the day IMO. Guys that they may want back to the practice squad. Makes sense maybe.

If Tim Tebow being cut didn't do it... this surely will.

Jermaine Cunningham was cut by the pats. Im thinking we should do to Belichick what hes done to everyone else for years on that one. Not like Cunningham is bad and given our recent history of developing DL....could work out to be a nice fit.

Zoltan Mesko cut by the Patriots. He's now free to pursue his career as a coin-operated fortune teller that turns little kids into Tom Hanks.

Pretty sure it'd only be ironic if MrC never corrected anyone, and I was always correcting him (or at least the latter).

Not sure where to post this... guess we like ESPN now?

BTW, ESPN The Mag picks the Miami #Dolphins to win the AFCE with a 10-6 record. #Patriots are second in the division at 9-7. Discuss.

NFLN will have to devote a 3 hour special on Tebow now, what with his being cut, the trauma of it, speculate about his future, talk about the puppy he rescued from a swollen river when he was only 5 years old, etc etc,

He played a lot in preseason. I sure couldn't see what they saw in him. Or Jeff Adams, or Chris Barker, or Andrew McDonald. Are these the best young OL prospects that our scouts can find? Oh, the horror.

It sucks that Chad Bumphis may get cut in favor of McNutt or Tyms.

McNutt is lazy and tries to one hand one too many catches. His last game wasnt even that special. That stop and go could have been ran by Cameron Worrell and still gone for a touchdown. Tyms has everything you want but catching the ball smoothly. Its similar to Hartline but Hartline knows how to turn upfield. Tyms doesnt really know what to do with the ball in his hands. I would say thats fine if he knew how to catch the ball correctly/smoothly.

The sad part is that Bumphis has everything but size. And it seems like Philbin and his staff like using Big targets in the slot (Gibson/McNutt). They may cut him because he doesnt bring that size to the field but is a good slot receiver instead.

A recent 2nd round pick too. Their 2nd recent 2nd rounder recently cut. :shifty: If the Dolphins did that, we'd have a 50 page thread lamenting Ireland's poor eye for talent and related such things.

I agree with all of this.

Except maybe for Hartline knowing how to turn up the field after a catch. He mostly falls to the ground, and I don't feel like I'm being an exaggerator/hater when I say that. I feel like I'm just being observant.

As for the slot tendencies thing, it's just one play but I thought it did show some of what Joe Philbin is thinking that makes him steer toward bigger slot guys.

If the #Dolphins are to make an eyebrow-raising moves today, I would suspect they'd come on the defensive line.

    D. Thomas didn't exactly blow him away with his 2.7 ypc... If Gray was the huge reach in the 2nd round and Thomas was the UDFA who do you think would make the team?
