I don't think a trade of Favre for JT is as far fetched as it sounds. They both make about the same salary ($12 million) and they both have maybe 1-2 years left in their careers. The Packer's management could save face by saying they got a great player in JT and that JT would help get them over the top, and Miami can say that they got a Hall of Fame QB for JT (who said he only wanted to play one more year). Let's make this trade. Ohhh and I don't think the Phins would have to give up anything more for Favre....if anything, Green Bay should be sending us a pick for getting JT. The teams could maybe work out a deal that there would be contigency picks for either team, depending on how JT and Favre played.
If GB is smart they will give him to the highest bidder. I'm sure there are a number of teams willing to give up a first round pick for a top-5 QB, even if its just for two years.
You have to persuade JT in going to GB. Why would he go to Green Bay when they will probably win eight or nine games with Rodgers? If Favre was to come here, he would likely win eight or nine games with this team as well. It would be a similar situation for Taylor. I, personally, don't want to give up high picks to anybody. If we were to get Favre, I am hoping its by free agency or a trade that doesn't involve high picks (i.e. first/second/third rounds). The problem is thats what the Packers would likely want back in exchange for Favre.
Green Bay isn't "big enough" for Jason Taylor. There arn't enough clubs to go dancing to with his tight shirts and jeans. Its too much about Football up there, not enough about the lifestyle.
I know it's satire, but he should still check the facts on players. He also doesn't know our colors...blue and orange....good grief!
I don't believe so but I doubt the Packers would take him if he told them that he didn't want to be there. Favre's a big enough distraction for them right now, I would be surprised that they took on a possibly disgruntled player.
I don't get how Favre can even want to play here in Miami. Let's be realistic this team isn't a super caliber team right now. Last year, Favre and his Packers were one game away from the Super Bowl. So I don't get why Favre would come out of retirement, play with a team the won one game last year, and play with the Dolphins for two years max.
So he could add to his lore. He would then say it was because of him the Phins are contenders again. Always trying to steal Danny's thunder.
