    What I'm saying is that these defensive issues are being magnified because the offense can't put up points. Otherwise, it sounds like we expect the defense to be perfect (like allowing only 10 points per game). Allowing the last drive was bad, no question. But my argument is that the offense put the defense in the position (yet again) to have to close out the game

    we also need to be able to threaten deep down the field to more than one person. A bit of a luxury maybe, but it would really hurt defenses that roll to bracket Wallace

    You know how I feel about Ireland, but he did sign Keller and Gibson. Gibson was having a very good season before being injured and we all though Keller was going to be a major upgrade at the TE position. Of course that still doesn't excuse Ireland for the lousy job he has done in building the OL. He is still the major problem with this organization and needs to be replaced in the off season.

    So, if they have a more experienced and assertive defensive Captain, like a Dansby, does he correct the coaching brainfart on the field?

    That's ****ing ridiculous at that level.

    Like anything else, not many coaches are truly great at what they do.
