Wow, that would be shocking. Anyone know the highest that a guard has ever been drafted?

Pouncey will be a center in the NFL.

Jerry has way too much $$$ tied up that OL, to draft anything but a late round cheapie.

He was originally drafted as a Tackle though and played tackle at Iowa if I remember correctly... I know Brandon Albert was a Guard at Virginia and was drafted really high, but he was drafted to play LT.

I think that Bill Fralic from Pitt was drafted #2 by the Falcons as well, around 1985.

Pouncy- I don't know if it would be more likely for him to be drafted by the COwboys with their 1st round or 2nd round pick. #9 overall seems kind of high.

p.s. I think that Chuck Bednarik was taken #1 overall, but he was a LB and Center.

Merv Pregulman was taken #1 overall in "44. Bob Johnson was #2 overall in '68. Both were centers. John Hannah was taken #4 overall by NE in '73. Mike Munchak in '82 was #8. Chris Naeole was probably the last top ten guard taken depending on how you want to view Leonard Davis.
