    I'd normally agree with that Regan, but our Defense is starved for that play making OLB, the design of our Unit requires a LOLB who can rush the passer effectively, that type of player is incredibly difficult to find later in the draft.

    I would not cry if we found a shut down corner next draft, for me a LOLB is more important for us.

    I may be having a brain freeze, I can't recall a CB being drafted in the top 6 in years though?

    I agree that for our scheme a playmaking, game changing OLB is far more important than a shut down Corner. We have solid linebackers but none of them are difference makers

    Which was why I was a bit sad JT left because now Charlie Anderson and Quentin Moses will likely have to pick up the slack. If those two work out well, then I'd elevate CB over OLB immediately. It may just be my personal preferences, but I always felt a shut-down corner was more important than OLB.

    Pacman was a top 6 pick. And Parcell's very own Terence Newman was 5th in 2003.

    lol. well maybe it's what position we played in high school. i played LB. Still when it comes to Parcells, the Giants teams are his blueprint and if he can find another Lawrence Taylor, that's his preference. I'm really hoping we can find a gem at CB in the 2nd round. Read my sig!!!!!!!!! lol

    30 top 6 picks since then though.

    :lol:

    DT/G for me, I was always large for my age, and in pop warner a fateful event happened, the Coaches asked "Whoever wants to be a Rb..go over there, whoever wants to be a linemen, go over here"

    I tried to go to the Rb squad, the coaches said "We think you would make a better linemen, go over there..."

    Ahh...cruel cruel fate....:lol::lol:

    lol, I suppose that's the case. As a CB/WR/S/K, Parcells isn't exactly a fan of my positions. I suppose the Giants teams are his blueprint but that Terence Newman pick really stands out to me. Not a fan of Wopamo Osaisai because I've seen him play a lot and I hate Stanford with a passion (we've absolutely killed them through the air). Did not impress me one bit so far. Plus, I want a name I can pronounce. :tongue2:

    I do like Morgan Trent, DeAndre Wright, Keenan Lewis, and Kevin Barnes as 2nd round CB options though.

    lol. man i played every position. i was pretty good in high school before i decided partying and getting laid were more interesting. OLB/MLB/TE/OT and they even stuck me at SS for a few games lol. If I learned one thing in life its that I was never meant to play secondary. :lol:

    Mike Mickens would be that CB gem in round 2...what can I say, I'm a Cincinnati boy, gotta spread some love for the Bearcats as they might have 2 potential 1st day picks (yikes!).

    As far as a LOLB goes, which I think will be a big need as I think Joey Porter's days are numbered as soon as 2008 ends, and I doubt that Matt Roth is the next Greg Ellis; and I think they like Moses in the mold of DeMarcus Ware (i.e. ROLB) then Greg Hardy of Ole Miss if he declares, and Brian Orakpo of Texas are my two choices.

    But if pressed, I'd rather go Malcolm Jenkins in round 1 then try and get a guy like Clint Sintim in round 2 to play OLB.
