CAFI, a place here in our county is helping us weatherize our home. they are replacing light bulbs and anything that will save on energy. This is such a blessing to us because we cannot afford to do any up grades to save energy, or weatherize our home. Their putting in fire alarms, new stove hood and much more. I just thank God that there are people out there that will help us like this. These have been some of the nicest and caring people to us. It's bad being so broke we need this help, but I am so thankful and grateful for the help we're getting. I just had to share this with you guys. I am so happy.
Thats great! I am glad you found an org. like that. Here in Delaware you can get free smoke detectors or replacement batteries at any of the fire departments. The program is "Wake up Delaware". My last tour I gave away 4 detectors. Now we do have people that take advantage of this program that pull up in high dollar cars in fancy cloth wanting 2 or 3 just because they are free. That tees me off to no end.

I'm with you Ducken. Those people that just take and take drive me crazy. I don't know how they live with their selves. My high dollar car is a '91 Rodeo. LOL It gets me around here, but I wouldn't dare try to go on any kind of trip. And my fanciest clothes are my jerseys that I've gotten as gifts etc. Some are just never satisfied. I'm just thankful for what I do have. This all has come has a blessing out of no where for us. My husband talked to them about help with our heating and they started telling him about all this for low income, or dis-abled families. What a wonderful thing. We are truly blessed.
