It just occurred to me that if Porter breaks the sack record, it will be versus Favre and it will be legit. Strahan's record is 22.5; Porter has 17.5 And we all know that Strahan's sack was BS, and Favre let himself get sacked cause he's friends with Strahan. I don't wanna use the word "karma" (cause I don't believe in it), but it would be fitting if Porter sacked Favre a few times in Week 17 to get the record. [apologies if this has already been discussed. I'm getting so psyched for the next 2 Sundays]
It would be kind of, ironic i guess... but I woudlnt be thinking about it really. For porter to break the record, he needs 5 sacks in 2 games. Unlikely to happen. I think if anyone breaks it this year, its probably ware in Dallas
haha it would be great..and ironic.. I think is highly unlikely though....he'd need 3 or 4 sacks next game to make it in NY.
5 sacks in 2 games is going to be a tall order. Thigpen is pretty escapable, and moves around a lot. It's going to be hard for Porter to get to him once, let alone two or three times. Probably not going to happen. Still, pretty cool that we're even talking about a record like this with one of our players at this stage in the year.
Ware has been outstanding in the Sunday night game. He's got 2 so far. He does have a chance at the record, particularly if he gets another sack before the end of the night.
It would be very ironic and also very unlikely. I think he finished with about 19 sacks, which is still outstanding.
D'Bustashaw Ferguson ain't Orlando Pace in his prime. The Ravens and Eagles lines are no more prone to sacks than the Chiefs and jets.
