Oddly enough, Saffold was the guy I wanted prior to the Marshall trade. Well Hughes still has that potential and it would be a different thing if Freeney or Mathis went down, but atm Polian is having a case of buyer's remorse with Hughes.
They drafted BPA on their draft board vs a need. You can't fault them for who they drafted looking back. Also the fact Hughes is playing behind 2 of the best in the game probably doesn't help his playing time either.
I think Hughes can still be really good but I think it was a mistake for them to draft him because they have freeney and mathis
Kinda surprised that Polian would make that kind of an admission to the media. Wonder how Hughes feels to hear that kind of a comment? Besides, long term he could still end up being a great pick.
I'm not, the guys one of the best drafters, but he's also a douche. This is the same guy that threw his OL under the bus after losing the super bowl not that long ago.
