I was excited to see Henne get in there and play, but Im not so sure anymore. I see it almost like the Packers at this point. Rodgers has come out looking really sharp after riding the pine for awhile. I think at this point, letting him sit behind CP for another year could be a big benefit, to the point that when Chad either goes down or hangs em up, Henne will come in without missing a beat. With him staying put though, wonder if it will entire someone like Bradford to come out early. If he wins the champ game, he will be riding very high and youd think he could be a top overall, top 5 at worst. Hard to pass that up.
if McCoy came out, he would be a 1st round pick easily. theres just not very many good QBs coming into this draft. but if it works out for him, great.
A puzzling decision when you factor in the likelihood of a new CBA being negotiated that includes a rookie wage cap.
He might not realize that, because no one's there to tell him. He might be thinking solely of having a national title shot next year.
It could just be that he doesn't want to hear about this all the way up until the bowl game. Maybe as a good teammate and leader he has chosen to say this so that the scrutiny is removed from the program. The "will this be your last game crap" won't be hovering around, and it allows his team a chance to fully commit to preparing for the Bowl game. That's one line of thought I can think of for such a move. Strangely only a few days after he announced he'd seek advice from the NFL to begin with. I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure the process may take more than a week to hear back from the NFL on that issue.
Well, maybe with most applications they might have to work up some numbers, but I would think it was a simple cut and paste easy answer here on this guy. Something that was already worked up.
Maybe, I have no idea. I can't act as though I know with certainy as I would be pissing into the wind there.
Except that in college you only get 4 to use out of 5 years, and then you move on. There are no time limits in the big boy league.
