The only one loss team ahead of Miami should be Virginia Tech because they beat us. Ohio State has one loss against USC who is #7. How is that better than one loss against VT who is #5? Especially considering strength of schedule. Also that Ohio State lost AT HOME. Margin of victory or whatever...the VT game was NOT as bad as the score indicated. USC lost to who? Washington? Decent team but not great. USC should have steam rolled them.
UNC lost to a poor Virginia team, VA lost to a Div II team for pete's sakes. If you look at the Top 10, Florida will play LSU and Alabama may play FL in the SEC Championship Game, so even if everything stays status quo, we will move up if we continue to win out.
In 2000 Miami was #1 when they came to Seattle to play Washington; when they lost, they dropped off the map. And that was a good WA team. USC loses to WA now - who sucks his year - and they're still in the top 10.
