Tell us about some of your favorite classic moments in TV or movies? I won't debate the advantages of 'today's' actors versus 'yesterday's' performers but there is a large segment of today's population who have yet to experience yesterday's stars.

    My first nomination is:

I Love Lucy with Harpo Marx

In this classic episode, Lucy tries to impress a friend from back home by arranging a meeting with stars that she has met while in Hollywood. Unfortunately for her, she has met none of them so, to pull off her ruse, she dresses like the stars she is introducing. Little does she know, Ricky asks Harpo to go up and say hello to Lucy. Harpo catches Lucy dressed as him:

"The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli."

at that moment, Seinfeld became the best sitcom of all time.

    imo.

    in true grit-
[Rooster confronts the four outlaws across the field]
Ned Pepper: What's your intention? Do you think one on four is a dogfall?
Rooster Cogburn: I mean to kill you in one minute, Ned. Or see you hanged in Fort Smith at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?
Ned Pepper: I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.
Rooster Cogburn: Fill your hands, you son of a *****.

Brando in Streetcar...not many people acted so naturally back then. usually they would, what is considered now, over-act. good stuff.
