I was pretty darned lucky for a long time. I had a Grandmother who did the cookie care package every year, and an Aunt who did jellies, preserves and marmalades. Chocolate chip being my favorite, the box was always loaded with them, but there was a dozen different kinds. Aunt Sadie sent me all kinds of stuff. Crabapple jelly, mango preserve, Miami Grape jelly(seagrape) Kumquate, orange, lemon, lime and tangerine marmalades mmm mm mm. Now I just buy Fruit Cake.
my favorite....puppy chow melted chocolate chips, peanut butter, on chex mix and powdered sugar......mmmmy god, im getting some tonight.................
My oma always used to make German fruit cookies...LOADED w/ scotch. You could still smell the alcohol when you opened the tin. Now my mom does it, and while they're not quite as good, they're still passable. +1 for the PB cookies w/ the kiss in the middle. I love those.
