Chargers traded cornerback Antonio Cromartie to Jets for a 2011 third-round pick

i guess Nmandi wont be signing there now.

not gonna help when we run on them 45 times.

Jets took the bait. but not a ton of compensation. what had the chargers so spooked about him?

Frankly, after watching his performance against the Jets in the playoffs, I'm shocked that the Jets had any interest in him. On top of that, he has had only 1 really good season and has tons of personal baggage.

He's soft. Charger fans couldnt stand him and they were ready to cut him long ago.

The jets are going to be very agressive this offseason, i just know it.

Cromartie had one good season and has struggled the past two. With Revis on the other side he will see a lot of passes, the Jets coaching staff better get him in shape because he has really fallen off in his coverage game.

Not to mention, he avoids contact like the plague. And teams will make sure to make him have to get physical.

i just always linked him to jason allen, making me wonder, how bad could he be?

well thats a good thing but still this just makes a True #1 WR even more important for us i really wish the coachs would go after Brandon Marshall even though i know it wont happen

how could this deal be finlized already it isnt even the new football year yet

cant wait to watch him runaway when every running back comes near him.

Just hope this doesnt work out for them like the Moss trade did for New England. Granted AC isnt anything like Moss in terms of talent or track record, but still.

4. Cromartie backs up on 4th down instead of going into the pile, 2009 playoffs v. Jets, last play of the season with the game in doubt.

3. Cromartie gives up 18 catches to Brandon Marshall, 2008. Talks trash the entire time.

Cromartie Has More Legal Problems

Antonio Cromartie is headed to New York, but his legal problems aren't going away.

The San Diego Union Tribune reports that Cromartie failed to appear in court twice recently for traffic tickets and owes $799 in traffic-related fines.

He's also scheduled to appear later this month for a "judgment debtor's exam" which has to do with child support he owes to one of the mothers of his children.

Cromartie has at least seven different children with six women and the same paper reported last month he owed $25,000 in child support.

I was a bit worried when I heard this, but only because I remember hearing Cromartie's name in good light (probably his one good season). After reading this though, I'm definitely in better spirits!

Cromartie is a one year wonder. Aside from his 10 INT year he's been average. Still better than their current #2 though, but for a 3rd, possibly 2nd? Not too sure about that.

Maybe he'll have his 8th kid in yet another city! I'm hoping that's the most production he has. The Jets sure do go after the clASSy guys.
