but the 1st thing that comes to my mind is: what do they want for him? probably more than we're willing to give. I guess that's alright in the long run, but these types of things make me sad.
Too much money would be tied to the WR position. I can see him going to the Patriots. They have crap load of picks anyways. EDIT. Maybe Washington?
2 #2's or a #1 and a Marshall sized contract, if a team wanted to do that now is the time as the Salary Cap will not be gone forever. To rich for the Dolphins though, we already owe a 2011 #2 to Denver (or whomever, the Broncos made some trades on draft day).
Chicago, Seattle and Washington come to mind. Chicago has been looking for a WR forever. IIRC Seattle was mentioned in the Brandon Marshall sweepstakes. And Washington is always a player when big FAs are in play.
Chicago seems the longest shot to me, they are notoriously stingy as a franchise and just signed Julius Peppers and gave Cutler and extension, Lovie Smith will have to work with what he has imho. Washington seems more likely as money is no object and they aren't shy about trading draft picks.
I think you can look at which teams pursued Boldin and Marshall and lost to figure out who may pursue Jackson. I thought Chicago was involved with at least one of those. But as of yet I haven't heard them mentioned among the interested teams. The SD paper did report that Seattle and Washington have inquired.
Rumor around here has the Skins as one of the possible spots for Jackson. Though they already have one headcase in Haynesworth it wouldn't shock me to see them add another.
