https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...ppy-contract-requests-trade-arizona-cardinals Ill be honest, I haven't looked into the financials at all, but as an ex-New England dude, would we be interested in bringing him in? I wonder if we might consider some type of Jones for X swap (with ancillary players/draft picks to make up for contract differences)?
Some in the media have suggested a swap. I'm opposed to the idea. As for money, now that we're post June 1, trading Howard would only cause us to take on 1.4m in dead money, and save 12.1m vs the cap. Jones is in the final year of his deal and wants more money, hence his whining. He has a salary of 15.5m this year, and will turn 32 this season. (four years older than X). I just don't see the benefit for the Fins, unless you believe that they're a pass rusher away from the Super Bowl right now. BTW, Jones played in 5 games last season and had 1 sack.
I want back our second rounder we wasted on Rosen. Silver lining is that trade prompted the trade with the saints and we ended up with Davis.
