Hope he is okay, the Jones brothers are always in trouble with drugs tho. He will likely be suspended and Gronkowski better watch out too
So, apparently, Chandler OD'd on Synthetic Marijuana. Now, I'm far from an advocate of Mary Jane, how is Synthetic Marijuana considered a legal substance?
1) The term synthetic marijuana is VERY VERY misleading. It doesn't imitate marijuana at all, its basically research chemicals and is disgusting. 2) I am an advocate of marijuana, but I believe synthetic should be very very illegal. My ex and I smoked some once when we couldnt get the real thing, and we both felt like our eyeballs were popping out and our heads were exploding. We actually said goodbye to eachother because we thought we were dying. 3) I didnt number this list to be a douche just separate points
technically, synthetic marijuana is a single compound - it's a cannabinoid receptor agonist and tend to be really potent. The difference is when you smoke marijuana, it's a mixture of receptor modulators. The synthetic version just can't modulate it to give you a nice buzz.
Technically - yes you're 100% riught. However a lot of things in my experience are not what they say they are, they are generally blends with god knows what.
You used to be able to buy it at gas stations, they called it "spice" I think it is still legal in certain formula's but they are slowly banning the chemicals that make it up.
If her being an ex has anything to do with synthetic marijuana, you are required by ThePhins policy to share that story as well.
Poor people, and people who are on probation will use it. I have known a few people who smoke Spice, which is what the stuff is most commonly called. It is pretty wild. It is more of a dissociative than anything, which is markedly different than marijuana which is similar to alcohol in that it acts chiefly as a stimulant and/or depressant, but there are many different blends different reactions. It was also sold as K2, and is marketed under tons of other names. It is just one of thousands of research chemicals which are not FDA approved, marketed as not for human consumption, and then sold freely in gas stations and other locations. The people who I knew who smoked it didn't always get terrible experiences, some of them really enjoyed it, but eventually they would have a freak out. Not necessarily violent or anything, but they might feel as though they were dying, or hallucinate terrible things.
And he is now a Cardinal. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14980555/chandler-jones-traded-new-england-patriots-arizona-cardinals-jonathan-cooper-draft-pick Makes sense for the Pats to some degree. They got spooked by this incident, unload the guy and get a solid OG after the disaster that was their OL last year. Opens a big defensive hole though.
