Not that I won't support him, I'll support anyone on this team, but I am sick of having other people's left overs as our starting qbs. I'm not convinced this will be any differernt from Fiedler, Greise, Feely, Culpepper, Green, etc, etc, etc.

    But any way, Go Phins!

Well not surprising since he's outshined everyone so far in preseason. Good luck Chad and by the way if you want to endear yourself to the fans go out week one and light the Jets up!

None of those guys consistantly led their teams deep into the playoffs. Chad did that more than once in New York. He doesn't deserve to be lumped into the same category with those other guys just yet. The Jets are idiots for cutting him. If Father time finally catches up with Favre this season they are screwed.

If Chad wants to become a hero, he can start by beating the Jets and Favre in Week One....if he doesn't.......

I think we are going to have a nice win:

    Dolphins 24
    NY Jets 20

Oh he's def a better qb than those, but I'm just sick of other teams cast off qbs is all. I'm sick of getting my hopes up with "vets" who have "done something" then come here and do nothing. I'd rather one of our rookie qbs do nothing then a vet who is supposed to come here and do "something".

That would indeed be a shock. In a world run by a more ironic Supreme Being, Favre would go down with a season ending injury in that same game. Not that I'm wishing for him to get hurt, but it would be the Supreme Irony...

no real surprise here. I think the everyone already knew this was coming. I think the real burning question alot of us have is how the rest of the depth chart at QB shakes out.

I never liked Pennington much, but I have to now that he's a phin, so he has my support 100%. Theres no question though that having him on the field and in the huddle has done a lot for our offense. It seems like he's making guys more confident in their abilities.

I think the best thing would be for him to go out there week 1, and beat the jets. That will boost his confidence, but more important is the things that it will do for the confidence and morale of this entire team. It would be beyond huge.

To me, the difference is, we didn't bring him in here to be the savior. Instead, because of Favre, he came into the market, and we picked him up without having to give up a draft pick or whatever. The question is not whether he's a world-beater, the question is whether he is better than what we had. I think he definitely is.

I agree 100 percent. The difference here is that we were set and he fell into our laps. It was great fortune. There is no downside to this because if he fails then they are in no worse shape than they would have been. If he doesn't fail Miami could become instant contenders.

Yeah, I feel ya there. I'm hoping it happens too. Nothing will cause more pain for Jets fans than having to throw away their Favre jerseys during week 1.

Sorry Favre, but you kinda have some karma coming your way. You can't be a totally flagrant douchebag and expect it not to catch up with you.

I see what your saying and I agree to an extent. It was nice that he fell into our laps and we didn't have to give anything up for him. But what does it say about him that he got cut so that an older qb can be the starter?

Again, Chad is a fin and I will support him. I'm just sick of other team's left overs and I hope we're not being set up for yet another disappointment.

It says about him that he got cut in favor arguably one of the best QBs in the league. He got cut because the Jets got Brett Favre. Older or not, Brett Favre is Brett Favre, one of the most elite QB's in the league.

Chad Pennington is one of the most accurate all time QBs and has shown it pretty well so far. Veteran leadership is exactly what this young rebuilding team needs to grow. Plus he is now without the constant scrutiny of the crappy NY media.

Well, out of those I really only supported one of them before they came to the Dolphins. Chad Pennington was another even though he was a ******* Jet.

I expect us to win more games than the Jets this year. Just throwing that out there. Not a prediction, an expectation.
