The Apprentice may not be as good as it used to be, not get as high ratings and all that, but the Celebrity version is worthwhile TV. Last year I thought Annie Duke was head and shoulders above Joan Rivers but the Donald didn't see it that way. Last night was pretty good though. Rod Blagojevich (sp) is hilarious. Loved how he went all political in his answer to Trump when he was caught not serving Joan her burger on time. "I don't specifically recall that"... I think the mens team has all the stars this year. Outside of Summer Sanders, Osbourne and Cindy Lauper, I haven't heard of any of the women. But the men, all big time names. Not sure who to root for yet. Might have to go with Goldberg.
Yeah, I watched it Paul. It was a good first episode with a great cast IMO. Should be a real good season. I think Sharon Osbourne, Holly Peete (Rodney Peete's wife) and Summer Sanders will all be players for the women. Sharon in particular should go deep (unless she is set up to fail by her team because they see her as a strong player). And, for the men I like Bret Michaels, Goldberg and Curtis Stone. Stone looks to have all the qualities to go all the way. But, I think Sinbad might actually be the sleeper player this season. BTW, did anyone see Goldberg take Michaels aside after they left the board room (after just learning they won the challenge) and telling Bret to take better care of himself (because he is a diabetic and had a scare during the challenge)? Very sincere moment. Although, I don't think it made much of an impression on Michaels. I'm guessing his rocker lifestyle probably doesn't mesh very well with him taking care of himself. Already looking forward to the next episode.
I think this cast is much stronger than last season (which was the 1st time I watched this show). I think it's obvious that Sharon Osbourne is going to be a force on this show and will probably be in the finals. I agree that I think Holly Robinson Peete and Curtis Stone will do well too. Looking forward to this season.
Yeah, I did notice Goldberg's moment with Michaels after the board room. I thought that was very cool, very sincere.... coming from a guy that could probably kill you in three seconds.
