From Sam Houston State J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Sam Houston State CB Scorpio Babers worked out at University of Texas-El Paso's Pro Day March 7. Babers ran a 4.36 and a 4.37 40-yard dash, had a 33-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, four-inch broad jump. He measured in at 5-foot-11 and 191 pounds. Scorpio Babers, Sam Houston State – Babers did not play this season after off-field issues. He was all-conference as a junior with 46 tackles and eight pass breakups. Thanks. I thought was small because he is only 190. He could be thrown around by the bigger receivers but I dont expect us to have him being a top CB for us anyways.
Well yeah I mean he is like a T-Buck type of corner but if I am not mistaken T-Buck was actually shorter like 5-9 and weighed in roughly the same...so although he wont be great against tall receivers he can do some damage...if he's got the skills.
Yeah I know what you mean. I was going to compare him to a poor mans Leodis McKelvin. He has blazing speed and can return kicks/punts if need be. They are the same height and weight but Babers ran .2 seconds faster than McKelvin.
